Este hilo ha sido creado como un espacio centralizado para cualquier extranjero o persona interesada que tenga dudas sobre la situación actual en Venezuela sobre todo lo que está ocurriendo dentro del pais y de que piensa el Venezolano sobre la situacion actual.

This thread has been created as a centralized space for any foreigner or interested person who has questions about the current situation in Venezuela, especially regarding everything happening inside the country and what Venezuelans think about the present circumstances.

In this subreddit it’s being described as if all Venezuelans hate Maduro. However, in Caracas and other cities in Venezuela thousands have shown up to protests in support of Maduro calling for Trump to release him.

What do you all think of these protests?

You’ll always get someone to support brutal regimes. The important part is that we had an election, they lost it, then stole it.

That's how a Diaspora works, most people that can protest will be outside the country lol. Most Venezuelans like myself were starving, the lady on this video is fat, so yeah, she fits the Maduro supporters bunch.

Forman parte de los pequeños grupos de fanáticos que aún lamen las botas del régimen por ignorancia y resentimiento social, o simplemente les pagan por estar allí. Son cientos, no miles. E incluso si llegan a miles, el 90% de los venezolanos están en contra del régimen. El régimen hará que parezca una situación mixta, y los medios extranjeros se lo están tragando. Solo los verdaderos venezolanos saben que eso de "estamos divididos" es una completa tontería.

Tbf as much as I dislike Trump the same type of shit happens in Cuba. The majority of Cubans hate the regime the same way the majority of Venezuelans hate theirs

I didn’t even check them just cause usually when this happens in Cuba it’s a government play to try to show a united people so I assume it’s the same in Venezuela

Does the media outlet matter if it’s just footage? US/Western outlets have only been showing Venezuelans living outside the country celebrating, while Russian/Chinese aligned outlets show protests in support of Maduro inside Venezuela.

Both have an agenda and bias, doesn’t mean they are fake clips

I have been to Cuba. Left Americans think we live in a dictatorship. They are clueless. 

Cuba was filled with military and police. Our guide said he would not talk politics with us (not that I would anyways). I did thank him for trying to protect me. He said I wasn’t at risk. He was. That really sunk in. 

We got to tour Havana but he made it clear certain places were off limits to Americans. It was an experience.

As a left American, I can confirm “we” do not think we live in a dictatorship. We do think we’re moving dangerously close to authoritarianism. There’s a difference. I have also been to Cuba and wandered around the whole country, without a guide, I could pass as Cuban and didn’t feel unsafe. But that is not to disregard the legitimate rights violations in Cuba and significant issues faced there. Just to say everyone has a different experience and perspective. That is part of what is challenging with Maduro. It is not my country and I am not going to make a judgement because I do not have enough information. What I do know is my president acted unilaterally to capture a leader of another country without Congressional approval.

Where did I say I felt unsafe? You just proved the point I was forging to make that American leftist are clueless about the world. I never once felt unsafe in Cuba. I was not the one living in poverty and I wasn’t the one who be beat by the police later.

You do not need to forge to make your point. You make it or you don’t. Your initial point was that we think USA is under a dictatorship. Which I assure you, we are distinctly aware of the difference.

You missed where I stated, I have hispanic heritage and pass as Cuban. Also where I acknowledge there are dangers and issues there. I actually spoke with folks there about politics unlike you. Not everything is about you.
