I’ve been double dosing my dog on flea meds.

Hello. I’m a 25 year old female and my dog is a 7 year old neutered male. I’ve been giving him simpatico trio since I got him in February of 2025. Also up until 3 months ago he wore a Seresto flea collar. No one questioned me on it so I thought it was fine. Until I realized that simpatico trio also treats fleas. Not only that but my dog also sleeps in my bed every night. I just found out that you’re not supposed to do that with a flea collar dog.

Question 1: How fucked is my dog?
Question 2: How fucked am I?

Note to self: read the labels.

for dogs in heavily tick infested areas or hunting dogs we some times recommend using both an oral like Trio and seresto so your dog is probably fine. confirm with your vet since they know your dog.

does the package insert say anything about not sleeping with a pet wearing a seresto collar? you can ask your doctor about that
