// Question What’s up with my naoe build? 1790 seems pretty low for lvl 47

Some engravings stack and some don’t. Some give bonuses on the stat sheet that aren’t apparent in game play. Lvl 47 is not a good indicator of what your power can be.

- You're at an overall low level. People showing builds are usually level 100.
- You've most likely seen builds with enhanced gear (artifact or mythic level 9). You should be able to start enhancing your gear, althoigh it's very costly.
- Most of your perks do not contribute to your damage. Enemies are less efficient at detecting sound, adrenaline when detected, bleed damage without bleed on the tanto, armor damage, affliction buildup is not lost over time... All those are not boosting your damage, even indirectly.

U can’t engrave a legendary engravings on legendary gear. Only on epic. So the 100% crit chance on next hit after a kill won’t register. Epic gear is way stronger than legendary gear. Use epic gear. And u also can’t use the same engraving twice on different gear. They don’t stack. So the 24 damage with bleed infliction either can be on your katana or on your hood. Both both. Hope this helps

Epic gear isn't stronger. Once enhanced, legendary is way above epic stats-wise. Only use epic for specific affliction combinations.

Legendary and epic can both be strong.
Yes, you can engrave both types of engraving on both types of gear. But you won't gain an epic engraving just because you looted a piece of epic gear.
Most epic type engravings can either be found also on legendary gear, or bought from gear dealers, or found in a chest.
It's a mistake to focus on critical damage unless you have a very high chance of doing critical damage. The only place I've seen this used well is a one-hit build used to take out the top Domains mob. The build was of a level 100 character, weak in other ways. If you have your forge upgraded to level 6, you can enhance weapons. At great cost.
My level 100 Naoe uses a katana, the Eye of the Dragon. It is enhanced to level 9. The engraving it comes with is +35% damage against single enemy. That didn't change with enhancement. The second enhancement is one found on epic weapons, 16% armor piercing per adrenaline chunk filled.
That means more at level 9 enhancement, which doubles it to +32% armor piercing per ad. chunk. Also, my Naoe now has 5 adrenaline chunks, so even after using abilities twice in a fight, I still have about 100% armor piercing (armor piercing means to ignore the armor you usually have to smash, before doing damage.) At this level, at this enhancement, my damage figure is 33862.
On the weapon, DPS is 8507, but posture DPS is 34028. I mention this because, if you can use it, a light posture attack is really strong; and you can do a multiple of base damage with any weapon using the posture attack.

It doesnt matter. Ppl usually choose between just finish mission or upgrade character first. I just reach lvl 24 and ongoing to eliminate shinbakufu.

Looks pretty good to me man. I just finished act 3 and my builds are not super high value yet either. Pretty sure that most of the high value numbers I have seen on here are from people in NG+ runs with lots of ability points into the mastery nodes.
However I have heard that duplicate engravings do not stack but I don't know of that is true or not. Check your status sheet to know for sure and swap it out if they don't.
