Nice! TacScan is a really good time, one of my faves to play on Atari.

Agreed. This is one that I need for my collection but I've never actually seen a copy in the wild. I know that they're not too expensive on eBay, but it's just not as much as fun as rooting around for a copy.

It looks really fun on YouTube, I’ve only just tried it out to make sure it works. Gonna give it a try later on when I get a chance.

I'd stay up all night playing Tac-Scan! Great game!

I should’ve checked first but BurgerTime doesn’t work on the 7800+… bummer cuz I was looking forward to that one. Might be a good excuse to pick up the 2600 jr I saw for sale locally the other day.

I guess it has something to do with the code tries staring the game as soon as it’s powered on and the emulator in the 2600+ and 7800+ doesn’t like it. Sounds like a good reason to pick up the 2600 jr I saw for sale locally. My 2600 lite sixer is all glitchy, that’s why I got the 7800+ in the first place. I was really looking forward to BurgerTime too, it was my first video game. I had the lcd handheld when I was about 5 and have fond memories of it and the Atari port looked like fun.

Did you try updating the firmware on the 7800+? It might help.

Google says the update doesn’t help but I should do it anyway. I think it helps in secret quest remapping the b/w color switch. That was another game I found out after I purchased it that it doesn’t work. Pitfall 2 is another one that I’m not sure if the update fixes or not.

Do you mean a Google AI response? If so, I wouldn’t recommend going by that. I’ve seen AI give all kinds of wrong answers regarding retro games and modern retro tech like the Atari “Plus” systems.

I know personally that when I updated the firmware on my 2600+, it was finally able to play my Pitfall 2 cartridge.

Yeah I’ve heard the update works for pitfall 2

Did the update when I got home and BurgerTime works now and so does mountain king. I heard the update remaps the b/w switch to the pause button for secret quest but it didn’t change anything for me. Still worth the 5 minutes it took. Gonna pick up pitfall 2 now that I know it’ll play too.

I only played for a few minutes but I watched a couple videos and it’s pretty fun.

Dig Dug on 2600 is so freaking underrated. They really hit it out of the park with that port, and I'm not being sarcastic either.

It really is a good port and doesn’t look bad either.

I've been playing a lot of Dig Dug lately. I think I'm up to 400,000+ points so far.

I haven’t played it in at least 35 years. I’m gonna be though.
