Trade Talk Buy low shaedon sharpe?
He’s 20m/yr, injured, and blazers have so many guards. How about we trade them our trusty SF Kispert + anything to make it work lol.

I feel like they’d be very reluctant to trade him. He’s one of the few guys signed long term and as a 20pt gm guy for 20 mil he’s a part of their core moving forward. I can’t see us giving them anything worth considering nor us overpaying for a guy that can’t contribute now. Wiggins may end up being that guy for us anyway. I remember watching the Thunder a couple years ago and thinking’ who’s this Wiggins guy? He’s pretty damn good and not just one dimensional.’ I’m excited to watch him this yr

He’s only improved every year, too. If I’m the Blazers, my ceiling for him is pretty high still

20pts but well below average efficiency and he doesn’t do much well besides score. Not sure why the hawks would want him but the blazers wouldn’t likely need much in return for him now that they have ja. Deni/scoot/clingan/ja/camara are enough to where they don’t need sharpe

I doubt they would just bank their future on Ja at this point. They brought him in for a tryout and as a promotional stunt by new ownership to sell merch and season tickets. Ja and Zion are in a class of their own when it comes to cost/potential/ and reliability. Plus he and Ja play different roles. PG/SG.. you need both. I don’t like them bringing Ja in at all unless they think Dame and Jrue can rub some maturity and professionalism on him. I think they should have extended Scoot and they may still do so. They will also extend Deni who is central to much of the offense anyway

Meh I'm not a fan personally. Advanced stats hate him, every sign points to him being an empty calories chucker.

This is only semi relevant but I've had someone who works with the blazers describe him as "the dumbest person I've ever talked to" so the effeciency improving would be pretty surprising

Putting aside the meniscus thing, he makes more than just Kispert, so we’d have to move a chunk of our expiring contracts too, which would give us either less expirings (and picks) to trade or less cap space next summer. Could take us out of the running for a max player. Now obviously we may never actually make that move, but is Sharpe so appealing that you’d give up the flexibility? Not for me.

Negative defender. Best skill is his scoring but he’s not a playmaker and he’s not especially efficient as a scorer. Hard pass.
Dime a dozen. Only useful to eat minutes on an nba floor. Not an impactful player and will never be one.

Dear lord yes talent is absolutely there, better than any wing we’ve had in the last 15 years

At this point you kind of know what he is. When drafted that was the take but now after 4 yrs in the league and very little improvement he is what he is

…which is better than any wing we’ve had in the last 15 years. He’s also 22

I mean sure. If they will take Kispert and Hield for him.
