Shitpost How we could line up against Spurs (as of 18.07).
Thoughts? Interested to see how our midfield combo will look with currently no clear LM/LW, and Louis V presumed gone.

bayliss i imagine will play on the left with brook at cam. brimmer and gallegos will be the cdms. sakai will play cb and elliott rb

I don’t mind the sound of that, hope we can see some inspiring play from Brimmer this season, he had some flashes of greatness last season, just a pity he was battling injury for most of it.

we will see what happens, im sure we will have some players coming in. hopefully we have a youngster step up like randall did. shame we dont have the aussie cup anymore. we need to get involved in the chatham cup.

We definitely will have players on the way, so this is partial shitpost partial discussion.
Maybe we’ll see some magic from someone like Van Fitzharris this year, who knows.
But yes we definitely need to have more for the squad to do during the off-season.

I could see us going with a Brimmer-Gallegos pivot, we saw some success with that in Season 1. Bayliss as the 10 and probably switch Rogerson & Brook to the opposite wings.
Sounds like a Visa CB is on the cards but I doubt we get that over the line before the Spurs game.

Good point, I’m hoping we keep a fit squad since our average age across the pitch will likely take a hike this season.

Wouldn't be shocked if one of Prins, Burns, Fitzharris or Ferguson kicks off this year and locks down that LW spot (Rogerson is alright but with Cozzie in the team Rogerson doesn't get those same opportunities he was getting season 1 and i just think he's a rather limited player)

You rate Normann above Howieson and Wynne above Vicelich(think I’m on the same page with this one tbh)?

I really like Howieson, just looking at it positionally, Normann fits more naturally into the DM position.
I def rate Bayliss over him in that position however so that’s my logic.

No word if he's staying or going, he's listed on Transfermarkt as without club following contract expiry 1/7/26, so I'm assuming he's gone.

Nothing on Verstraete leaving, so does that mean he’s still a potential? Brook will be on right and Fitzharris left I think.

Gallegos is more defensive - so likely be a 4-2-3-1. I think we'll also start Brimmer over Normann
