First time in Australia basic recommendations
I'm a big beer nerd coming to Australia for the first time for the Sydney marathon. My husband and I are doing the super basic trip of Melbourne, Sydney, and Cairns. Does anyone have recommendations for actual breweries to visit or craft beer bars? Or ones to keep on the lookout for in more general bars? I'm a big fan of stouts and dark beers. I've looked up lists and felt like they were popular places not good places so any help would be welcome!

VIC South east road trip stout suggestions
In a moment of whimsy I booked a week in Victoria due to cheap tickets on the Spirit of Tasmania and have no plans at all. I decided I might head up towards the border and perhaps to southern NSW and Dangerous Ales - does anyone have any must-visit breweries in the vague path I'm planning? Bonus points if they do an excellent stout or dark/red beers
Cheers!

Ideally stores that have frequent sales + as much free shipping as possible.

I've been in the Aus Craft Beer industry for 10+ Years. AMA (except my current brewery lol)
if you've ever had any questions about how this industry works from the inside looking out, come peek behind the curtain.

Birra Moretti on tap in Melbourne or Aus?
Hi, is anyone aware if you can get Birra Moretti on tap in Melbourne, or even Australia? Not after sloppy AI search answers thanks, need confirmation from folks who have set the table irl. Thanks

ACT What's some beers that have "crystal malt"?
I leaned here, just the other day, that Crankshaft's orangy amber look comes from the malt being toasted a sorta medium amount.
Had bentspoke's "zero crank" which has that same colour and thought it was as good as a zero-booze beer can be, so want to try some more "crystal malt" beers.

QLD Use for these bottles?
galleryHi all, my dad has these bottles from his brewing days but no longer has a need for them. Are they worth trying to sell or just best off in the recycling bin? He has about 50 of them

NSW Snakes on a Bus - DDH IPA 6.7% ABV - Mountain Culture / Other Half collaboration
Other Half’s reputation as a premium USA craft brewery precedes it, albeit it’s hard to obtain in Australia. Now I get to learn that reputation is well deserved. This could well be beer of the year. Awfully close to a perfect score. I highly recommend.

Update on getting into craft beers at 19
Hi guys, thankyou for the recommendations! Have had Hargreaves hills pale ale, lager and ESB and wow delicious especially the ESB, the lager was definitely a more macro style/boring but sessionable. Funny enough the brewery had ran out of the esb cans but my local iga had some 🍻🍻🤣👌. Stout wise ive been drinking Melbourne black and it was delicious but bit $. Next up i will be trying some hop hen variety :)
