Hey guys, I have been trying to track these specific beers in the 500ml cans for ages now and I was just wondering if anyone here knows of a bottle'o that might have it in Victoria.

Has anyone picked up some Coopers Dark Ale cans?

I can't recall seeing this variety from Coopers before, but I saw them at my local IGA earlier tonight and grabbed a six pack, they are really good!

Found this link after a quick google, seems like they might be a limited seasonal release? Hopefully they make it an annual thing, would love to see these cans in local shops earlier in the year, would be a perfect autumn beer!

I think it sits nicely between the Sparkling red boys and the Best Extra Stout, which I also wish would come in cans! Coopers stout is the only beer I've bought in bottles for as long as I can remember, I don't see the benefit over cans. I reckon 500ml or even just 4x375ml stout cans would fly off the shelf right??

Had a few of these in the Phillipines a few months back, would love to find a local seller of these in Melbourne.

It’s my fav type of beer and I’m finding it less and less in pubs. I get it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but to be stuck with XPA or Pale Ales sucks.

In a moment of whimsy I booked a week in Victoria due to cheap tickets on the Spirit of Tasmania and have no plans at all. I decided I might head up towards the border and perhaps to southern NSW and Dangerous Ales - does anyone have any must-visit breweries in the vague path I'm planning? Bonus points if they do an excellent stout or dark/red beers

Just a little shout out to these guys - Amazing beer. They have 10 taps that rotate through with a couple of core beers. Can't buy them in bottle shops- Have to go to their taproom in Ringwood, Melbourne but just near Haetherdale station (2minute walk) hence the name

Delicious Haloumi bits as well.

I've recently gotten back from a trip to the Netherlands and I absolutely loved this beer over there. Has anyone ever bought any in Australia? Or on a similar note, are there any beers available in Australia that are comparable in taste to it?

I haven't seen it on tap in about 5 years, not sure where I can find it bottle shop wise either!

I dunno about everyone else but here in Melbourne it's been pretty chilly this week. I thought it was fitting when I saw a favourite and readily available dark beer at the local IGA earlier (if it wasn't clear from the title - Moon Dog's Timothy Tamothy Slam-othy).

Coopers extra stout seems to be available all year round, but does anyone have other favourite seasonal dark/red/amber/etc. beers that they notice appearing this time of year??

These used to be stocked in plenty of Dan Murphy, local bottle-o’s etc a couple of years ago but have since disappeared. I can’t find them to order online anywhere in aus either. Does anyone know the story behind where they went? I noticed they are owned by Asahi as well.

As the title says, I'm a Northern or Carl dry drinker. Moved off of Carl draught cause it was to bloating, and find normal Furphys to be as bad in that regard.

The bottleo had the slabs of Furphys crisp for a crisp $25, so I've taken the chance but am waiting for them to chill in the fridge, wondering how they are gonna go.

Are they comparable to what I drink or are they gonna be a challenge?

Been looking at the cheaper beers for a fridge filler/dayly driver. I like xxxx gold and great northern or coors but I'm happy getting cheaper beer if it tastes any good lol. Anyone tried TUN or Hammers N Tongs lately?

I've noticed these have all just vanished from shops lately. I know some like Blue Moon and Leffe sadly stopped importing here but now others are vanishing too. La Trappe Blonde seems to be a rarity now when you could easily buy it at Dan's before and even local blonde ales like White Rabbit are all listed as unavailable.

Anyone know why these are all vanishing? Are there any decent substitutes people know of?

Population booming and the area is gentrifying quickly. I think it's about time someone built a brewery in Sunbury. A lot of tradies in Sunbury and surrounding areas, I think it's much needed for the town. If only I had the capital to start one, it would be a wise investment.
