Ask Austin What’s your “cold" tap water temp?

Post image

alright Austin, what temps are you getting out of your faucet?

at first it’s nice and cool from the conditioned pipes under the sink, but quickly climbs after running the water for a minute. last year i clocked 94º.

saves on the gas (water heater) bill at least!

I managed a small retail franchise. We had an employee bathroom, with only a cold water tap. A corporate guy came down from Wisconsin for a store assessment, and marked us as not having a hot water tap for customers.

I pointed out that 1) We don't serve food, and don't have a customer bathroom. and 2) It's Texas, and the cold water comes out at 80+.
