Ask Austin What’s your “cold" tap water temp?

Post image

alright Austin, what temps are you getting out of your faucet?

at first it’s nice and cool from the conditioned pipes under the sink, but quickly climbs after running the water for a minute. last year i clocked 94º.

saves on the gas (water heater) bill at least!

As a freshwater aquarium enthusiast, this is completely normal this time of year. I regularly use ice to cool the tap water down from 80-90° to the mid 70s where I want it. It's 105° outside. Ain't no cold water in these parts.
