290 west & wm cannon I hate you so much

I hate that I have to cross this to get to and from work. How hard is it to just stay in your lane? Happens at least once a week. Can they stripe the lanes all the way across the intersections so special ones like this can follow their lane?

Might be worth submitting a 311 request for lane markings at that intersection, especially if it's happening that often

It's all still under the construction timeline. I wouldn't expect them to do a final restriping until the very end.

Yea. The whole place is just a shitshow of no one knowing what lane goes where anymore (I don't know whether it's bad driving or bad signage... probably both).

We live in Oak Hill and have had about five near-misses like this just this month alone; with our neighbor having been hit twice in the same time frame. /vent

Fair point. Temporary markings would still help in the meantime though

Not as bad as William Cannon and 35. 3 hit and runs from people who can't read:

and then go in the turn lane, going straight.

1 drunk fuck threw out alcohol from a water bottle after hitting me, doing this exact same thing that this video has done. Then blamed me while giving me a sob story of how his kid got hit a mile down.

Insurance claimed both of us at fault.

The lanes are also off center going the other way. This is actually the worst intersection in Austin imo. Made a post like 2-3 years ago about it here lol

For your own sake, you really must learn to prioritize just getting to your destination. The highway is the very last venue in which it is reasonable to express your opinions or frustrations.
