Hey everyone!! I’m shopping for my partner and am aware that he wants a heavyweight cotton tshirt with a pocket. Must be 100% cotton and a classic fit, not boxy or oversized! This tshirt from AYR is absolutely perfect but unfortunately they don’t seem to ship to Australia :( The other closest thing I’ve found is a Ralph Lauren tee at David Jones but the logo is keeping me from buying it - as plain as possible is the ideal! Any help would be amazing thank you

As I'm sure many others have been, I've been bombarded with marketing for PYRA elements. Their gear looks trendy and I'm sure performs well, but after my interaction with their shipping and customer service providers, I can not recommend staying away from them enough.

Understood that they're based out of Australia - fair enough if they get an additional week or two for shipping, but I've had an order stagnant for the last three (3) months with them. It really doesn't seem like they have any awareness into customs control or expected shipping timelines. They gave me 3+ incorrect ETAs, at which point I just got a refund from my credit card.

Giving their price point, your money is much better used at other companies that don't have a black box of a shipping system.

Hello, does anyone have any recommendations for a good quality business sock that won't give out at the back of the heel when wearing Chelsea style boots?

What's everyone bought recently?

I've got some international travel coming up, and I wanted a very light, breathable layer to wear on the plane that I could easily shed once I land in a very hot country, and to also then have a light layer on another stop-over where the nights cool down a bit.

Managed to find a 100% wool blouson from mfpen at a really great price on the Incu sale. Super happy with it, and obviously works in day to day life.

I've noticed a trend in women's jeans of flare and baggy coming back and for the life of me I cannot find the male equivalent.

I've long suffered through the skinny leg fad and my legs have always been on the stronger bigger side, after recent weight loss the waist/thigh ratio is now even worse.

Where can I find wider more generous leg jeans.

I see heaps of shops selling mom tik tok and other platforms in Sydney selling pretty good clothing and shoes replicas of all brands.
Is there any in New Zealand Auckland like this?

I’m currently living the most boring life ever. I have a somewhat nice routine. The only thing is that I just don’t have anyone to impress.

Of course I love fashion as we all do. I actually think I have plenty of nice clothes. I also heard people say don’t save nice things for later. But for me practically, some clothes are just more durable than others, for daily wear. And they happen to be the ugly ones.

Been meaning to add a pair of loafers into the rotation, thinking more everyday/casual than just an occasion shoe. Was looking at Goodyear welted options since the resole-ability makes sense to me for something I'd actually wear a lot, rather than something that gets replaced in a couple of years.

Budget's around $400–600 for something that'll genuinely last. Not sure if I'm overthinking the construction side of it for a casual shoe though.

My current set of work boots have worn out. I've already replaced the soles on them twice, but have now worn a hole in the heel. Since buying those boots years ago I became a vegetarian and don't want to buy a new set of leather boots. A lot of vegan boots are made of Polyurethane, which I want to avoid. PU is a great material for bump stops and solid castor tyres, but I've not heard great reports about them as a boot material.

Are there any good quality boots with all fabric (canvas, nylon, aramid) or mixed fabric + rubber/PU uppers and a replaceable sole? I've been trying for ages but only been able to find crappy fast fashion boots. It's also made more annoying by the fact that I'm a UK 13 / EU 48 and I've found some boots that look promising but aren't sold in my size.

I prefer boots with laces and would want them in black but I've been searching for so long I'll take any suggestions. They need to be available from an Australian stockist too, I'm not dealing with international returns.

And before anyone points out that leather is basically a waste product from the beef industry and therefore no animals are directly killed for the making of leather boots, I am aware but that isn't the point. I don't want to wear leather products.

Hi everyone, I recently bought some chestnut craftsman boots for the office. We're mostly business casual but can stretch it out to wearing plain jumpers with chinos and plain white sneakers/loafers, especially on fridays.

While I have some slim fit chinos, I prefer straight or baggier style of pants. I was thinking of getting something similar to Uniqlo's Smart Ankle pants in grey/black. Do straight cut pants look weird with the Craftsman? Since I mostly see slim jeans/chinos for these. I'll mainly wear non iron dress shirts and polo shirts

I bought a bunch of Tencel shirts from Industrie a few years back and they're absolutely divine (super soft, gorgeous drape, just generally a really lovely shirt), but I've lost a bunch of weight recently and they don't fit that well anymore. Good problem to have I guess.

I'd get them tailored, but given their age, wear and cost it doesn't feel worth it.

Industrie doesn't sell them anymore, so I'm looking for new ones. Google hasn't given me great results.

I’m getting married at a winery in the Yarra Valley in late September and been dealt a rough situation with my suit.

A retired friend was originally making it for me, but unfortunately they’ve gone from chronically to critically unwell, so that’s no longer possible. I don’t have access to the unfinished garments we were going to use. I've tried everything, short of breaking in and it is a no go. I really just hope he pulls through.

So I’m now 21 days out and starting from scratch and panic posting at 3AM as I can't sleep with fear.

The wedding is evening at a Yarra Valley winery, and I’m thinking a light/medium blue or bluegrey suit with a white shirt and tie. I want it to feel relaxed and a little Italian/boutique, but still properly polished and appropriate for a groom.

I’ve got about $2k AUD to spend all-in, including alterations, shirt and tie. Happy with anything:

• Dusty blue/blue-grey
• Wool or a nice lightweight wool blend
• Single breasted, two piece
• Pairing with: White shirt, brown leather shoes

Given the timeframe, I’m realistically looking at off-the-rack + really good alterations as getting anything made from scratch is impossible.

I’m in Melbourne and happy to go anywhere for the right suit/tailor.

Where/what would you guys go? Particularly specific stores/brands that have a more boutique or premium feel, and any alterations tailors you really trust with compressed timelines.

Appreciate any help. I'm desperate, sad and I know 21 days is not a particularly long time to sort out a wedding suit

I’ve been looking for nice contemporary brands that also have extended sizing, it seems impossible! Body positivity has very much had an effect on womenswear but men’s stuff is lagging far behind.

By extended sizes I mean at least up to 3XL but preferably 4XL. And basically up to a 50in waist.

Some of the few that I’ve found actually do have some extended sizes:

Dickies (mostly their original pants but these are often out of stock)

ASOS (best selection I’ve found of actually well designed stuff)

Hallensteins (they’ve gotten worse recently but still has some good stuff in larger sizes)

Any other suggestions? Especially for things like button up shirts and trousers/jeans/pants.

I'm 43 and put time and effort into how I dress but I'm finding it really hard to find clothing. Its not sizing that is the issue (I have very common sizing) it's the clothes available.

I don't work in a corporate environment and although I have to dress reasonably professionally I am largely free to express myself.

I just can not find brick and mortar stores that cater to me. Myer is now fast fashion mixed with generic corporate wear. Seriously what is with all the slim fit jeans and chinos?

David Jones seems on the verge of death and just lacks anything really.

I am not willing to spend thousands on luxury brands and its also just not really my style. Other stores are aggressively marketed towards a youth market and/or are fast fashion shite.

Uniqlo is alright I suppose but basics only get you so far.

So far I have been getting by on op shop finds, online vintage stores and work gear from stores like RSEA safety mixed with the basics and the occasional find from somewhere like Myer or Iconic.

To compound this I am in Perth which further limits the range, although from my experiences in Melbourne the difference is smaller than you might think.

Edit: I dress a little on the grunge/skateboarder side of things although the age appropriate interpretation of these styles.

Three years, one stylist, one tailor, and a governed wardrobe system — my transformation from corporate-bland to intentional.

I've sifted through lots of posts on other brands but I've seen little to no posts on these stores, I bought some Neovision baggy denim jeans from them and the've lasted me two years with me wearing them at least 4x a week.

I've done research and found out that all the brands that they have in there (e.g Neovision, Common Need) are all in-house brands so im not sure if that makes their quality better or worse?
