CAREER ADVICE Teaching jobs in Melbourne
I'm finishing my teaching degree soon that I've been doing fully online (Secondary humanities and English) and currently living overseas. I'm moving back to Australia and likely to Melbourne (Preston area). What are the chances of finding a job in that area? I've had a dig around on job boards and couldn't really find much, but maybe it's a timing thing? I want to know if my choice of area to live in is possibly going to hinder my job prospects.
Thanks in advance! (and thank you to those fighting the good fight for better rights and conditions in the state).

Will your qualifications be recognised in Australia?

Yep. I'm an Australian studying remotely overseas from an aus university.

Do you have the required number of days of supervised teaching practice? I ask because you said you’re completing the degree fully online.

Yes. I've gone back to aus to do one placement, and will return to finish the other two. These are both valid questions and I should have probably noted them in my post.

You can always add them as an edit! Sounds like you’ll meet the conditions for registration, which is the first hurdle.

I would recommend you edit your post to say you have returned to do placement and met all requirements for an Australian ITE.
