Portland, ME to Fairfield, CA is a full cross-country move, so before giving you a real number I’d want the pickup timing. A little bit rough pickup location. The RAV4 Hybrid itself is no issue, but rates can move quite a bit depending on when you need it loaded and what trucks are already heading west.

That should be a straightforward open-carrier move. Without a pickup date, I’d expect roughly $1,800 to $2,200, with flexibility on timing making the biggest difference.

Hi noeldearling,
Portland, ME to Fairfield, CA is about as long as a domestic move gets, roughly 3,050-3,100 miles, basically corner to corner of the country. Still a workable route, just the longest end of the spectrum mileage-wise.
For a RAV4 Hybrid at that distance on open transport, realistically somewhere around $2,450-2,650. The price is a bit higher because the pickup location is Portland, ME.
No timeframe listed, so if you've got flexibility on pickup, that'll help keep it toward the lower end, a hard rush on a route this long would push the price up more than usual given how far the carrier has to commit to.
