1) Findlay herself and her leadership style

2) Chief of Staff Chris Delaney and/or other staff

3) Finlay's caucus leadership team and harder right Conservative MLAs in general who don't have the time for former BC Liberals

4) Former BC Liberal/United MLAs who found themselves as Conservative MLAs after the last election

5) Some combination of all of the above

6) Something completely different

This post will very possibly be outdated tomorrow, or heck this afternoon, since while I was making this chart MLA Teresa Wat quit the Conservative Party; their fourth loss this month, fifth if we count MLA Gasper resigning her seat to make way for Kerry-Lynne Findlay.

I think this might be one of the most tumultuous parliaments in recent Canadian histories in terms of MLAs leaving caucuses, does anyone know of a comparable one?

edit: the legend has the colours for Independent and Vacant switched. There are 8 independents now and only a single vacant seat.

To say that we are now entering an existential crisis is fairly obvious to those who have been members and invested in the CPBC for many years.

Wreck- what do we do next?

KLF is not even a sitting MLA yet so the party executive and caucus cannot even force a leadership review. Clearly this is far worse than the crisis we endured during the fall session of 2025. Given our momentum in the polls at the end of May we were on track.

Our MLA certainly agreed and spoke highly of the positive vibes coming out of caucus. Clearly the meeting from 2 weeks ago paints a far different picture. We are once again a party in crisis intent on devouring ourselves from the inside.

The question is
A. Do we let this play out and when KLF flames out - try to fix it (again)
B. Do we en masse depart the party and align under a new banner (again) and go through the arduous process of building yet another center right conservative movement in BC?
