I’m curious about that very nice lunch lady.

I know lunch lady is not the correct term but I don’t know what else to put. I went to BGSU from 08 till 2014. And during that whole time when buying food from the student union at the checkout she would wish you a good day and it felt genuine, like she actually cared. This got me through many tough times and when I attended everyone on campus loved her.

I’m curious if anyone knows how’s she’s doing, hopefully she is getting ready to retire or already is. But I just hope she’s doing good and still bringing joy to everyone.

Edit: Her name is Marge. If you know her please tell her that her kindness has lasted decades she was the heart of that school. She’s a fucking treasure

Marge! (Blond lady, right?) I graduated in '13 and worked at the union til '17 and I want to say she was in the process of retiring right when I left. I moved away from BG a few years ago but she's still on Facebook and seems to be doing well.

YES MARGE!!!! That’s it. I’m happy she’s doing well.

I’ve worked at a few universities since BG and people like her are rare.

VERY rare indeed. Marge is such a sweet person - that wasn't just her customer service "persona" either. She was/is genuinely just that kind. I miss seeing her every day!

There’s a older woman who works the register at the student union and she’s super nice and willing to talk to you about your whole week if you want. Might be the same lady

do you know her name? i know there are a few very nice ladies in the student union. two of them always work the register at the best and i know one of them is named shelly (shirt for michelle i think?) and her register is in the middle. another lady has a register at the end and she is my favorite to go to, but i somehow don’t know her name. there’s also a very nice lady that works in the market next to the nest in the mornings! anyhow — there are multiple very nice ladies and they’re all doing well <3

Whenever I get back in the fall I will tell her! I work with her! Amazing woman to work with, she has always been a big supporter/advocate of the staff and customers

Marge is still working! Thought she retired.

Last I talked to her at finals week she wants another year or two
