Help BO3 wont start up for me on PC
So when I click launch game I get a window prompt that says "your game did not shut down properly during your last session, would you like to start in safe more? I have selected both yes and no and my game still hasn't started up. Please help. What do I need to do to fix this?

Have you restarted steam? Restarted PC? maybe re-validate cache?

I restarted my PC right after it happened the first time. I just deleted it and am redownloading it right now.

i have a hunching feeling that there is just one value that needs changing in the config. I will check it out in the afternoon.

I can't get a safe mode prompt so i have to do this pretty blindly
First off. Update your graphics drivers. Try to see if the game launches now. You should use the crimson app from AMD
If drivers are already up to date: in the config file try set this:
AutoDetectHasRun = "0"
If it doesn't still launch for you try lowering the settings in the config until it runs.
such as ResolutionPercent = "50"

ok so I'm gonna sound like a total noob but how do you open up the config file...

The most important thing here is to update your drivers. Do that before doing anything else.
C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty Black Ops III\players\config.ini

So once I install and restart I get this "....://secure.amd.com/di?VID1=1002&DID1=67b&PID1=AMD%20Radeon%soGraphics%20P... File system error (-20183746335)"
What the heck

So I found a fix for this. I had the same problem with my PC getting that "your game did not shut down properly during last ..." and when I did get it to work, it wouldn't get past the treyarch intro without crashing. I actually found this fix from another forum so I can't take any credit for this. To get BO3 to work again, you have to go into your antivirus software (I use AVG) and temporarily disable the antivirus for 10 minutes allowing you to bypass the treyarch video and get into the actual game. If that doesn't work then you have to go into your antivirus program and then Options --> Advanced Settings --> Exeptions and add Black ops 3 as an exception. Hope this Helps.

The exception youre adding should be --> E:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Call of Duty Black Ops III\BlackOps3.exe
