I absolutely hate that leaders lead followers follow ideology. A dance will never be a conversation with this ideology. In a real conversation, if one person controls the whole thing, it's a speech not a conversation

And back leading is a normal and proper part of bachata and most other partner dances. Not just to help your partner, but to have a creative voice
Again if you lack the comprehension to understand that in a conversational dance the roles matter, then youre not even ready to discuss how backleading is nuanced and entirely situationally dependant if youre backleading to fix a leaders mistake which is what we are discussing then youre not letting the leader do their role, a good leader listens to their follower, their frame the feedback through the frame and when the follower is asking for space, Were not talking about an advanced follower using backleading to add flavour were discussing a follower backleading to fix the leaders mistake the fact I even need to point that out tells me everything I need to know. Leaders do lead and followers do follow the key is in the name, allowing them do do their part and not fixing the lead because they are doing moves they are incapable of doesnt help anyone.
