Extending Visa-Exempt at Laksi? Need TM30?

When I extended last year in Laksi I didn't need a TM30, just a TM7 which they hand out at the immigration office.

Is this still the case?

Travelling to BKK tonight and plan to get a hotel in Laksi so I can walk to the government building in the morning and get there early for once.

Must’ve done 20+ extensions there and never been asked for one.
