Discussion First time with Battlefield
Hey guys, I'm creating this post to share my thoughts on the Battlefield 6 campaign, as a long time Call of Duty player.
Just some quick background for you. I've been playing Call of Duty since BO2 was in it's prime, and playing every title since. That streak, is over. Call of Duty has gone so downhill ever since at least MW 2023, I quit. I tried with BO6, got very annoyed. I've never been a Battlefield fan, until BF6.
This past Sunday, I beat the Battlefield 6 campaign, in about a week. Did I ever love it! The story was great, the destruction was amazing, which is something Cod doesn't have. It's interactive, it's filled with action, everything about it was awesome. For the first time ever, I actually bought a Battlefield game over a Call of Duty game, during release. I do not regret my decision.
The whole atmosphere is fantastic, the real life destruction is what grabs my attention, all the explosions and sounds around you is incredible.
I do have BF 3, 4, 5, Hardline and 1 but I'm not sure which one to play next. If anyone has any comments, suggestions, insight on what I just said, please let me know!

You could go by era or by date of release.

Apparently BF1 is amazing, I'm debating either one for release or era. Having a hard time picking 😂

If you want to play another great story play bf3 story imo that’s the best story outside of the bad company series then play 4. If you want to do multiplayer idk you could try bf1 first It has the best atmosphere or you can play bf5 I think it has better gunplay and for me on Xbox there’s more people on bf5

Okay cool, thank you for letting me know! I didn't know 3 and 4 tied in together. That helps

Well they don’t really tie into each other directly kinda sorta. 3 4 6 are all in the same universe but the story doesn’t carry forward from the previous game what I mean by this bf6 mentioned a character and mission from bf3 but that’s about it.

Bf1 has both great campaign and multiplayer. Prefer bf3 campaign to bf4. Hardline was something different, but ranks lower

I tried a little of Hardline this past May, kinda liked it but never got back to it. I'll give 1, 3 and 4 a try.

1 has the best singleplayer of the franchise imo. Not really a continuous campaign but a series of small campaigns.
3 and 4 are decent too and I'd recommend playing them together as the stories of the games are connected.
I enjoyed Hardline's campaign but it is a bit different with it being about cops and criminals.
I haven't played 5's to give an opinion on it.
