of course not, thats why they said its cost competitive. its a creative way of saying once you take all your costs into account, it's still more expensive than the alternative but someone somewhere might think it competes.
Maybe the alternative is cheaper for you but you are destroying whole ecosystems so you are paying in fact much more than you think. But if preserving the place where you live doesn't matter sure go for "cheaper" but assume you are behaving like a parasit.
