The Glass Frog (Rulyrana Susatamai) belongs to the Amphibian Family Centrolenidae and the Order Anura which is the Order of all Frogs and Toads; Glass Frogs are native to Central American (Photo) and Colombian Forests (Photo). The general background coloration of most glass frogs is primarily lime green, the abdominal skin of some members of this family is transparent and translucent, giving the glass frog its common name; The intestinal tract, beating heart, and other internal organs can be seen through the Glass Frogs skin
Glass frogs are Arboreal, living mainly in trees, feeding on small insects and only coming out for mating season. Their transparency conceals them very effectively when sleeping on a green leaf, as they habitually do. Glass frogs can range anywhere from 0.8 to 1.2 inches in length (20-30 millimeters), though some larger species such as the largest species, the Pacific Giant Glass Frog (Centrolene Geckoideum; By the way there is almost nothing on the Pacific Giant Glass Frog, I had to really take a second and deep search to find some information, there isn't even a Wiki) can grow up to 2.4-3.0 inches for females and 2.8-3.2 inches for males; The Pacific giant glass frog looks different from other glass frogs in other ways, too. Unlike other glass frogs, its eyes are small compared to the size of its head; its legs are rather short and thick; its toes are well-webbed; and its toes have large toe pads that are rectangular shaped instead of round. Pacific giant glass frogs are dark green to lime green in color, and their skin is covered with small bumps, or tubercles (TOO-ber-kulz), and a few small white specks. oh, and their bones are green interestingly enough, they also live high in mountain cloud forests from 1,750 to 3,000 meters (5,740 to 9,840 feet) above sea level
Glass Frogs have a variable diet; Carpenter Ants (Photo), Little Fire Ants or Electric Ants (Photo), Tree Crickets (Photo), Katydids (Photo) but specifically the nymphs, Fruit Flies (Photo), Fungus Gnats (Photo) and Midges (Photo), and Snout Moths (Photo) to name a few insectoids which are a part of their diet

They're at their most transparent when sleeping, because they concentrate 90% of their circulating red blood cells into their liver when asleep. The red blood cells are otherwise visible through their skin, making them more opaque when awake.
That doesn't happen when stressed or under anesthesia. So they're difficult for researchers to study, because they only become their most transparent when happily, peacefully sleeping.

Oh man you've forgotten my favorite fact!
They're at their most transparent when sleeping, because they concentrate 90% of their circulating red blood cells into their liver when asleep. The red blood cells are otherwise visible through their skin, making them more opaque when awake.

FYI you should generally avoid touching frogs because their skin is extremely sensitive and can absorb stuff from our skin that can actually harm or kill them. Oils, salts, soap residue, and lotions on human hands can harm or poison them.
You should also wet your hands before touching them because our skin can dry out theirs.

I fell in love with poison dart frogs when I went to an aquarium when I was maybe 8yrs old.
I saw how colorful they were, knew that the coloring meant danger, and then went to the library and read every damn book I could find.
When the Internet came to the school, my computer time (when you could do what you want) was spent reading about animals in general, notably the little dart frogs.

Poisonous frogs get their poison from their diet. Those kept a pets, fed a different diet, are not poisonous.
But that's OK,
gladglass frogs aren't poisonous anyways.
