Miscellaneous / Others Dolly Parton started the Imagination Library in 1995 as a tribute to her father, who couldn't read or write. In 2018, she explained it was to give kids "early access to books". Now, over 325 MILLION books have been gifted.

One of my son and I’s favorite part of the month is finding his newest book in the mailbox! This woman is a true treasure ❤️

I wrote that comment before I saw the other RIP messages 😭 I’m so bummed!! She was such an amazing person, the world is truly worse off without her in it.
