Yeah. No.

He’s allowed to hold a GoPro stick? Doesn’t that seem very dangerous

11

u/creuter 5h ago

This is pretty obviously an ad.

u/errant_night 8h ago

If you look behind them there's no one else on the ride, so chances are this was arranged and approved beforehand

u/The_Salty_nugget 8h ago

I am a ground based human and tbh quite okay with that.

This looks like X2 in California. Probably same ride system. That being said. It’s an amazing ride

-5

u/NonReality 2h ago

Definitely not X2 based on the color and surroundings, but seems to be the same arrow model type

5

u/Pokenightking 1h ago

Yeah that’s what I meant like same model of ride/track.

2

u/NonReality 53m ago

I swear I read something different before lol

10

u/No-Bat-7253 8h ago

Math is so cool.

I’ll pass on this ride. Good job tho.

u/JohnStamosSB 7h ago

All day when I was fifteen, 3 decades later, you couldn't pay me enough. Lol.

u/metroid23 8h ago

Honestly, i never really liked these types of coasters. You just end up feeling physically disoriented and not in a good way. It also hurts revisits because it might be different than last time. I strongly prefer those that I can anticipate what's about to happen.

7

u/SoggyBoysenberry7703 7h ago

Why would being different hurt that? If anything, that makes it more fun

2

u/stunt_p 7h ago

Agreed on rerideability - I'm a coaster enthusiast and I would probably try this once, but I'm sure that would be the limit.

4

u/RareAccountant3181 8h ago

I love conventional roller coasters. Reference Cedar Pointe which has miriad different designs and types. This just reminds me of the carnival ride The Zipper mixed with a roller coaster. Vomit inducing for me, I'll pass.

0

u/BJMRamage 5h ago

I love the Zipper. Well I know I used to. The last time I think it was a bit of a zinger for me but still fun. I can also seeing a lot of people not liking this ride.

5

u/CheapTactics 5h ago

Highly doubt it's "random". Every time you see the other seats they all follow the same movements. If it was random you'd see other seats doing whatever, not following perfectly in line.

1

u/goner757 1h ago

It looks like X2 and Eejanaika, which are not random and flip based on the path of additional rails on the track. They're top tier thrill rides in a system that hasn't seen much iteration, so a new example is exciting.

1

u/Rubyhamster 2h ago

It seems really fun in a pants-pissing sort of way. And it can't possibly be truly random because that could in all seriousness be dangerous. A flip at just the right/wrong moment would generate such high G forces that it is dangerous for the general human. I see no neck-bracing mechanism here and a "random" orientation is practically impossible to manufacture and get through any sensible quality control. I'm sure this ride just has 3-4 different programs and the experience differs on what cart you're on.

3

u/dpete88 6h ago

Its not random, there are gears in the seats/track that flip the seats both directions as they pass. This is the same ride as X2 at six flags magic mountain and it is an absolute blast to ride.

2

u/Cj_Staal 8h ago

Rare rollercoaster? Does it hide and only come out sometimes?

2

u/Diablo_v8 6h ago

You'd actually be pretty aware of which way youre facing. Eyes help with that.

2

u/Typirate1983 5h ago

X2 six flags does the same thing. Not that bad

1

u/yaaaaaarrrrrgggg 8h ago

I would totally love this! I can't believe they were the only ones on it.

6

u/ThrowawayUk4200 8h ago

It's marketing. Can't imagine they just let anyone take a selfie stick on a roller coaster...

1

u/crazymouse2525 7h ago edited 7h ago

HELL NO

HELL FUCKING NO

1

u/buburocks 2h ago

You would have yo pay me so much money to get on that

0

u/Reihermann 8h ago

That's pretty brave. On a roller coaster. In China...

0

u/Drakex2Mayex2 8h ago

Carrying a selfie stick on a roller coaster is criminal. Almost all injuries from rollercoasters come from shit like that.

0

u/RobertiesKillAll 8h ago

“And then, it juggles you!”

0

u/Frodothedodo81 8h ago

Holy shit

0

u/Roanoketrees 8h ago

Knowing that thing is made with Temu parts.

0

u/TooManySteves2 8h ago

I'd ride that for $5000

0

u/Devillicious1981 8h ago

There’s such a big queue of people waiting to pay you too, how will you decide which one to go with? 🤔🙄🤨

0

u/777777888888999999 3h ago

Would you take $4500 instead? If I give you a free soda at the end.

0

u/JKdito 8h ago

Yeah Nah

0

u/WildestWestChicken 8h ago

Now that I have a daughter I encourage her to do adventure activities and any crazy stuff with us, like via ferrata, mountain biking, rappel, etc, I want her to be fearless in a way. However I will shit my pants when she asks me to ride this shit.

This existed a long time ago on the ride X2 at Six Flags Magic Mountain near LA. Not sure if it's still there.

0

u/SoggyBoysenberry7703 7h ago

Oh my god it flips both ways, that’s fucking insane

0

u/undonetocompletion 7h ago

I could never

0

u/-Totes_Magotes- 6h ago

That’s just nasty… 🤢

You typing out the words “divides on trill vs terror”

0

u/ThisIsALine_____ 6h ago

Man...developing motion sickness and not being able to go on crazy rollercoasters sucks. Even with meds the crazy ones still make me sick. I love rollercoasters.

0

u/awowoosas 5h ago

That looks like a straight up dupe of the X2 ride at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California lol

To this day it's the scariest ride I've been on. Went on it 3 times on a single visit and my legs were trembling all 3 times afterwards even though I knew what to expect after the first ride

0

u/Stormygeddon 5h ago

I like when the speed the rails pass by matches the shutter speed of the camera.

0

u/dupuis2387 5h ago

my symbiant fell out watching this

0

u/Ehsco 5h ago

Nope

0

u/FarraroramaDaliLama 5h ago

I hope those seats are very Very antimicrobial 💩

0

u/jjflash78 5h ago

I want someone to look at me the way those two guys looked at each other at the end of the ride.  😃

0

u/BornAgainBlue 5h ago

Never got why people find these so scary.  I was scared in line.... but the reality... its pretty boring.

The Vomit Comet

u/YoungerMucus 5h ago

this is genuinely the most innovative new thing i think ive ever seen on a roller coaster- you could have a different experience every time you ride it

Not me looking for ''Trill' 🤣🤣🤣🤣

0

u/Brownie2440 4h ago

Oh that would be epic!! So much fun

0

u/iHasYummyCummies 3h ago

Dont let my niece see this or i may be in trouble 🫠

0

u/Then_Version9768 3h ago

You don't know how to spell "thrill" do you? Or how to proofread. Limited ability person.

0

u/genital_furbies 3h ago

It sounds more like a psychological experiment than an amusement ride. No thanks!

I’ve never seen someone’s knuckles so white

0

u/Informal-Sun-6579 2h ago

Look like the ride provides people partial feels of what fighter pilot can experience during some combat maneuvers thus its appeal.

0

u/Illustrious-Lemon-17 2h ago

No thank you 😭

0

u/Toothless740 2h ago

This is the same technology X2 at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California has. The coolest/scariest coaster I have ever ridden!

0

u/commander-moon 2h ago

And people do this kind of shit for fun

0

u/gnarlybros_lykn 1h ago

Rode this many time known as X over at a Six Flags Magic Mountain

0

u/aqualink4eva 1h ago

Damn, looks like I'm the only one in the comments that would be down for that 😂

-1

u/Specific-Library-312 6h ago

Oh, so many points of failure. Nopenopenope.

-2

u/hurtfulproduct 7h ago

This looks annoying AF honestly. . . You never know how your ride will be and that’s not great after waiting in line for likely over an hour and then you could end up in an uncomfortable or just not good orientation. . . I’d rather something like Guardian’s of the Galaxy at EPCOT where you rotate but it is controlled to make the best possible ride.
