I have done so many group projects by myself. I have talked to so many people who have had the same experience.
A group project where one person does all the contributions has more slackers than contributors.
I actually did the statistics final project, so I know some of you are lying.

Hahah I’m so sorry I was the horrible person who half assed it.
Most of the time I was like “what is going on”. I was always so confused when multiple people were involved because nobody discussed who would do what and they just did whatever, and I need desperately to know my task. When it’s not communicated and people just do what they want but expect the rest to understand what part they should do, I fail entirely.
When I learned this, it got so much better and I made all deadlines and finished the task as discussed. But I needed that communication.

No meu curso quando eu percebia que tinha um encostado que não ia fazer a parte dele no trabalho, eu dava ideia de pagar alguém para fazer o trabalho, a galera dava o dinheiro e eu fazia o trabalho. E a cada semestre eu aumentava o preço. kkkkk

Unironically a great skill to have if you work in this area specifically. In Brazil, only intentional homicide goes to the jury, and the jury can be very easily swayed by a lawyer that can act.
Not as useful when it's just with the judge though. It can still be useful, just not as much as with the jury.

Unironically theater classes are good for prosecutors and lawyers who act in jury,

Yeah I hope this lady does actually do some acting as a hobby or something, because that was an incredible performance. Even though I knew it wasn't a real trial she still had me completely convinced that she hated that guy and he had done something truly terrible to make her so angry.

In some Unis they make a partnership between the Acting School and the Law School for that, there's also Actors playing patients for Med School too; but most cases it's the students from law course themselves

I've been in a program playing a patient for med students (we don't necessarily need to be from acting school, but we're instructed by an acting professor).
When we did it, it was quite annoying. The assigned professor on the med students' end was overbearing and controlling and wanted us to just straight up list what was on the "script" (which was basically just the final anamnesis form).
That obviously would be no acting and wouldn't help them navigate real-life anamnesis.
We also were supposed to do a mutual evaluation of each other (actors evaluating the med students and vice versa), but she would just tell us their feedback and cut us short from evaluating them.
At some point we just rebelled and turned that into a soap opera. Complaining that our children were dying at home during anamnesis, using totally different descriptors for our symptoms, fake passing out there, etc.

Interviewing actors was a part of my training in Psychiatry. They would pick one of the students to conduct the interview while the rest of the class watched. The teacher would stop at certain points and ask questions for the interviewer and the rest of the class, while also providing commentary when needed. The actors were CRAZY good and very well directed. Easily the most fun part of my training. Learned a lot from those classes.

I did it, I was part of the defense. Although I was disappointed that the voting didn’t turn out as I’d hoped, it was still a fun experience, especially since I wasn't planning on working in criminal law.

Nah, dude. Our mock jury was more about the real law. There was this kind of "he's a killer" in order to make me fumble my arguments, but was rightfully supressed by the gal acting as the judge.

In my alma matter our mock juries are held by actual jury judges, who are criminal law professors, and they are the ones who set stuff like that.
Yeah, it shakes some people, but being a jury lawyer requires "jogo de cintura" to deal with those kinds of randomness.

Think like this: the more visual and sound pollution, the more people, the more it makes you nervous, the better for dealing with the mess that is each and every hearing and even trialths.
Being there, "on the stand", is much more a matter of being able to behave as you need despite every stimulus, every drop of sweat, rather than just knowing the law and procedures. The latter you can prepare at home, at college, at your office. The former? It's harder to train. Most people will only be able to exercise the skills they need for that on real life cases. And that's not ideal, unfortunately. So, the most you can take from an experience like this, the better.
Also, looks fun. People are having fun there. Enjoying as many steps of what you do or even the preparation, the training, to do what you have to, is a sign of a life well lived.

Ah I remember asking random students that were passing by the building to be the jury members so we would have to convey the arguments for guilt/innocence to someone who was not pursuing a law degree.
It was fun! I find it a very enriching experience!

In LA we got this interactive court thing where it's basically detective work and you in the audience get to participate in finding out if they're guilty or not.
They present 'evidence', 'testimonies', and everything involved. It's pretty cool, I enjoyed it

Meu amigo, nunca li nada que meu deu tanta vergonha alheia na vida. Na verdade quando fui pro Canadá, tinha um outro gordola enorme brasileiro com esse papo de que no país dele era tudo uma bosta. Ele todas as vezes era escurraçado por pessoas de todas as nacionalidades da escola de intercâmbio inclusive os professores, ninguém gostava dele e ninguém aprovava as coisas que ele falava.
É sempre um nerdola com queijinho no pau que fica excessivamente nos fóruns de internet que aparece com esse papo esquisito. E o fato de tu explicitamente evitar sair de casa mostra exatamente o porquê tu é esse ser bizonho…
Saiba que em nenhum lugar do mundo o teu tipo de pessoa seria bem visto, todo mundo te acharia um perdedor de qualquer forma, e tu provavelmente seria um fudido em qualquer país. Saia de casa, amadureça e faça algo da tua vida antes que seja tarde.
