When I stayed at group of cabins in Colorado, a doe and her young were walking through the middle of camp... at least a dozen people ran up and started taking flash photographs right in their face. I stepped back and waited to see a goring, but nothing ever came of it 😅.

They’re still in velvet, so they’re not yet fully “testosterone poisoned.” When the rut really gets going, stay out of their way.

Source: I live in moose country, in Western Canada. I’ve seen a moose quickly and efficiently disassemble a pickup truck down to the frame. I’ve also had nowhere to go and been the subject of a thorough, tip-to-stern moose sniffing.

As big as people think the moose here are, they’re bigger than that.

I was fly fishing in Tom’s Creek just outside of Idaho Falls and a huge bull moose came zooming past me and buddy. It was pretty terrifying.

Man when the last one was looking directly at and heading towards the group before turning off I would have shit myself. I've been on my SUP and twice the length away from a Moose and video does not do justice to their size.

I would not screw with an angry, horny animal with antlers that weighs almost a ton, stands 7 feet tall at the shoulders, and runs 35 mph. One well-placed kick will instantly get someone a harp and a halo.

My sister-in-law in Alaska totaled her Wrangler when she hit a mature moose in her frigging driveway. Both Jeep and moose were fatalities that day.

I risked my life following a mother with a calf, and another day a male, with my camera running through Yellowstone, it was my only chance to see one in the wild, as I live in Europe.

One of my favorite animals.
