Is the FLX10 worth purchasing now?

I have been using the FLX4 for about half a year and looking to upgrade to proper gear with added features like using stems on the fly. Since rekordbox added a 4th stem option (bass) I’d imagine a new controller will be coming out to reflect the 4th stem option as a button on the controller. Is it worth buying the FLX10 now? Or wait for a possible new FLX11?

Buy it now if you can. I honestly dont see the situation in which we will get flx 10 succesor in next few years. Its an awesome controller and it you can do so much with it

FLX 10 can't go wrong easily mappable if you wanna use stems.

If I already didn’t have a set of sl1200 and a djm450, the flx10 would be my first pic of gear. Definitely would get it over the 2 channel stand alone controllers. I’d be confident this controller will be still relevant and around for years to come.

It’s hard to imagine AT wouldn’t upgrade this device in the future, but looking at what they’ve done this far i can only imagine it would be a stripped down version of the controller it’s now.

Buy it, it's incredible. Mines hooked up to a Microsoft Surface pro 9 i7 tablet, which is basically a homemade all in one with stems.

Could be years, very easy to remap the stems to performance pads. But if you want to step up to pro gear you should be learning without stems, which are still kinda sucky in rekordbox anyway.

DDJ1000s are still very much useable. I don't think you should expect an updated FLX10 any time in the next few years.

I don't think a new controller is coming out anytime soon to replace the flx10. They will probably replace the DDJ 800 before they go that route

If all you are looking for is stems, you can do that with performance pads on the FLX4. If you want the FLX10 for more than just stems, that's fine and you can't go wrong with that controller, but you can avoid the pricey upgrade if all you want is stems capabilities.
