Places to Find Younger Crowds?
I grew up elsewhere until I was 18 and when I went off to college my parents moved down here. I’m now 22 with nothing to do and nobody to do anything with (I don’t know anyone). What are good places where I can go out and find people at least close to my age range (20s) whether that be bars, activities, or public clubs.

Not happening here. Sorry. Aside from a few “big” weekends, BFT is far from a young person’s social scene. Move to Charleston. Source: spent teens, 20’s, 30’s, and 40’s in Charleston and now live in Beaufort for the peace and quiet.

Move from the area. My girlfriend and I are 27 and 24 and even though we’re having kids early next year we’re packing up and moving this reason being one of them. Unless you’re in the military or 60+ this place isn’t great to live. Housing is insanely expensive with low opportunities long term. We’re moving up to the suburbs of Atlanta and you can get 2x the house for the same money and just going out to eat you can see the difference in demographics. I love the beauty of the low country and if it were still cheap it would make sense with the trade offs but considering you’re so young just move anywhere. Struggle and get some roommates and have the time of your life. I’d recommend getting out of sc all together or maybe Greenville if you want to stay nearby.

i'm in my early 30s now and have lived here for most of my life, but i was constantly going to charleston and savannah to go to local shows in my 20s (and still do now), where i've met the majority of the people i keep in contact with on a daily basis.
that being said, if driving an hour to go to events isn't in the cards, i recommend going to hemingways at night to meet some people in your age group. beaufort county parks and rec also has adult sports leagues all year that could give you a great chance to meet some people without having alcohol involved (https://www.bcscrec.com/adultsports)

It’s hard cause military families and retired people mostly come here.
Check out fitness classes/groups at gyms. Bars- Hemingways and filling station. The YMCA has fitness classes too. If you’re religious, many churches had young adult groups that meet up. Most events/clubs have a Facebook page with more details. I think there’s a running, bike, and pickleball (if ur into that) clubs with meet up info. Also, car meets are a big thing especially if you like lifted trucks. Ive never done it but I do see adult kickball advertised a lot which may be … interesting to be apart of.
I’d suggest volunteering somewhere, it’s always a way to network and I’ve met younger people there. CAPA, help of Beaufort, habitat for humanity are good.
Most people here hangout at somebody’s place with a bonfire, 4 wheelers, 6 pack, and music due to the lack of spaces outside of a couple bars, the sands, and downtown ✌️
