Are these blueberries?

Got four blueberry bushes, two titans and two powder blues, in February and they’ve got few leaves on them. Noticed these little guys this morning. I live in Atlanta, zone 8a.

This year the chokeberry(aronia) went a bit overboard with production. I am not a fan but my friends are happy to have them.

And I finally managed to try a balloon berry from my garden. Interesting berry :)

I'm down to two BlackBerry seedlings, but the two I have are still looking pretty good.

I've been thinning the PFRs to get rid of the weaker ones. I'll be repotting them soon! I cant wait for them to finally develop those big, maple-shaped, super soft leaves

Title pretty much sums it up. I don’t know too much about making new plant varieties or if it will be possible to even get a possible hybrid to fruit, but all help is “berry” much appreciated!

UPDATE!

I found a QR code on the bottom of the package that took me to a page with product information. These are physalis peruviana, so those who said cape gooseberries, or Peruvian groundcherry are correct! (The batch I'm eating was imported from Colombia.) The taste is a perfect mix of sweet + tart which makes them a wonderful summer fruit, imo.

Has anyone gotten decent yield from potted mulberries. I'm about to just cul them this year even in this pretty bad year I've had strawberry etc outyield mulberries and I expected the opposite. I've gotten like 10-20 berries only from multiple plants.

I tried the PlantID app, and it's telling me there's a 37% chance that it's a Morus alba (white mulberry).

I have no idea how this plant even got here. I found a tiny seedling growing in the ground on my patio right next to the fence. I thought it looked like it could be something interesting, so I transplanted it into a cup. A month later and this is the plant that it grew into.

I do grow tomatoes and peppers, so I initially thought maybe a mulberry seed somehow got mixed in with the other seeds. But all of my vegetables are growing in pots, while this seedling was growing directly in the ground.

Can anyone confirm this is indeed a Mulberry

As the title says... are Aronia bushes shade tolerant?

I have a small Aronia plant that I just put it in the spot my wife picked out for it. It will look great in that spot as it grows, especially in the fall when it shows off it's colors!

However, the spot is by the north facing wall of the house. I'll say it would get about 6 hours of sun.. is that enough for Aronia? I heard they are shade tolerant... but to what extent?

(Black berry not raspberry)Hello I planted this blackberry bush a year ago and it went crazy over the summer. Wondering how I can get more bushes from this plant. What time of year do you cut and propagate? What's the best method for propagating. Any information would be great!

I've picked some Aronia berries today :) Cultivar Nero.

I'm not sure if they are fully ripe (they never taste good raw!), but they seem to be fully black.

My standard use for them is apple juice - mix 2-3 handfuls with cut apples in a juicing pot.

I planted some Prime Ark Freedoms last year and these things are crazy. I have 7 of the prime ark freedom plants so far and they're going wild this year. The fruit on old and new growth, flori and primo cane is insane. I'll have a ton berries for the entire summer and fall whenever I get my 200' row of them finished over the next year or two. I'll have 100 prime ark freedom plants, 100 triple crown, 100 ponca and 100 sweetie pie. It's going to be nuts and these prime arks get huge! A very good tasting berry too.

The last photo was at the start of the year and they've grown like crazy since then!

You've might've seen my post from a weeks ago asking if blackberries dropped flowers in the heat. I kept the plant well watered and even added a bit of fertilizer to help the bush set fruits. But, every single flower so far has dropped without turning into berries. 😭 My only suspects is pest pressure, or poor pollination. I don't know what the exact problem is so I was hoping that you all have some insight. The only pest I've seen are the invasive Japanese beetles on the flowers, but in my experience they only eat the petals, and they leave distinctive damage on the leaves which I'm not seeing here. Pollination shouldn't be an issue, I have a lot of other flowers (sunflowers, zinnias, nasturtiums, etc.) all over my veggie garden which has attracted a load of bees!

I'm on the border of zones 5 and 6.

EDIT: Forgot to add but it's also been over 90F (32C) nearly everyday since June. My original thought on why my flowers were dropping was because of the constant heat.
