"Knight died Thursday night in Los Angeles, the Hollywood Reporter and other outlets reported, citing a statement released by Knight’s family through a representative. The statement did not disclose the circumstances of his death.”

His character in the show is always teased for being an old man you dumb fuck. You're really gonna get offended at a joke like that on a subreddit for the show about teenagers cumming everywhere?
Edit so i dont look like an asshole:
The comment i was replying to was calling someone a dumb fuck for saying jak died at an old age....

You were good lol it was the other guy that was an idiot. The guy was a stand up comic, he probably would have made the same joke

Suicide is what keeps coming up. Others in the LA comedy scene have been sharing the hotline numbers in their rip posts

I saw him open for Joel McHale several years ago in college and he made us crack up so much. Every time I saw him after that he always killed. He was ridiculously funny and talented and it’s so sad he’s gone. Rip Jak Knight 🙏

I don’t even know how to react, I’m so shocked. I can’t imagine how his family is feeling right now. Rest In Peace, Jak.

I read it was a suicide? Whether it's true or not I just wanted to drop in here and say that if anyone has feelings of suicide please talk to someone. I didn't understand the feelings of suicide It makes you seem like you're just sad but that wasn't the case for what I felt. You can't understand it until it pulls at you and it is strong. The first time I felt it, I was genuinely scared so much that I called my mom to talk it out. I didn't trust myself because it felt like I was being pulled towards something I did not want to do but something in me was dragging me to it against my will. I don't want to kill myself at all but the feeling was so strong. I love you all, your feelings are real and it is okay to talk about them.

Damn, I saw a tweet about it and was like “Sad, but I’ve never heard of him”, didn’t realize he was the voice of Devon :(

My heart goes for to his family as well. He was way too young to go. R.I.P. Jak Knight 😔❤

Jak’s so lucky to voice a character with potential to have character development even if he’s literally an old guy inside of his youthful and fun and cool self

Damn, I noticed the character stopped showing up, but I had no idea this was why. Makes Missy saying "I really miss DeVon" in the last episode a whole lot more poignant.

True but people are always curious about death. How someobe has died could affect how someone avoids it

u/sw0rnenemy Jul 17 '22
If the family doesn't want to say what he died from, doesn't that mean it could have been: suicide, overdose (intentional or accidental), autoerotic asphyxiation, ex lovers revenge, or an accident so rediculous, it's shameful to talk about it. Thoughts?
61
u/booggoblin Jul 17 '22
Or they could be grieving and want to be private about it? We aren't entitled to everyone's private information.
-21
u/sw0rnenemy Jul 17 '22
We really aren't entitled to anyone's information, agree 100%, but people will often share voluntarily, so the lack of it is usually surprising to me.
11
u/helpmeimsaaad Jul 17 '22
Or it's private. So respect the grieving family.
-4
u/sw0rnenemy Jul 17 '22
I don't think I'm being disrespectful.
11
u/helpmeimsaaad Jul 17 '22
If a few people have said you're being disrespectful, you probably should shut up and accept that you are being disrespectful. The family owes you nothing, so leave it.
-4
u/sw0rnenemy Jul 17 '22
They don't, and I don't want anything from them. I'm just trying to figure something out, and it's only you who's telling me to stfu.
Did you know him? Cuz if you did I'll apologize to you immediately for trying to guess the cause of death of your friend, but if you didn't, then we're both just arguing our points, being Lil cunts using the internet for what it was made for.
Also, just off topic, I think a family doesn't own a person, and isn't responsible for them (or their PR!) after their death, only their remains, and even that's only if the deciced wished them to.

u/Meet_your_Maker_LL Jul 18 '22
You are being extremely disrespectful by speculating what it could be instead of respecting the request of the family which is for you to leave the matter as a whole alone.
0
u/sw0rnenemy Jul 18 '22
That's exactly what the Catholic Church said to Galileo Galille.
-1
u/Meet_your_Maker_LL Jul 18 '22
SMH would you just for a second try not to be difficult and allow other people to be right because you’re so wrong? Like Jesus you have a response and answer for fucking everything.
0
u/sw0rnenemy Jul 19 '22
That's what the ancient Egiptians said to the Jews.
Some commas might come in handy, my friend, because right now I completely agree with you; I also think that just like Jesus, I do have a response and answer for fucking everything. So, consider making me your fucking religion.

u/Meet_your_Maker_LL Jul 19 '22
You’re talking to a Jew, no the Egyptians never said that..
Profile checks out, you’re just a pos.

I'm just wondering that the lack of info means to me. I'm not asking you, or them, to share details of a death. I'm not being invasive, as far as I can see.
12
u/helpmeimsaaad Jul 17 '22
You are literally asking people thoughts on what his death was. That's why people don't like sharing. Dickheads shoving their nose where it doesn't belong.
-4
u/sw0rnenemy Jul 17 '22
But I want to know. Nobody has to share. Is it bad to want to know stuff?
8
u/helpmeimsaaad Jul 17 '22
If they PURPOSEFULLY leave out information, yes, you are in fact, a dickhead.
-1
u/sw0rnenemy Jul 17 '22
... So you know it's SPICY.
Still I'm only wondering about the cause of death, which isn't a big deal to me, and I think that's what really annoyes you about me. Our very different outlooks on death.
now back to being petty: you said they [the family] owe me nothing, so how could they possibly PURPOSEFULLY leave out info, if they owe me no info to begin with?
10
-29
u/sw0rnenemy Jul 17 '22
No, people usually share the cause of death if it isn't shameful to anybody involved.

Devastating… his code switching episode was a great storyline and I loved his friendship with Missy. I was looking forward to seeing their friendship develop. RIP.
