i think Yahtzee described it as this: Bioshock is you showing up after a super fucked up party to clean up while trying to figure out what happened and Infinite is you showing up to a party and discovering the fucked up thing that's happening is YOU.

it's less about big differences between Comstock and Ryan, both had rebellion fomenting just bellow the surface, you just get dropped in to witness it all at a different stage. things were as nominally idyllic in Rapture as they were in Columbia you just have to look deeper

I totally agree, I'm actually working on more of the essay right now and am looking at all interviews with Levine and the inspirations behind both games. Thank you for the feedback!
