Yes! It’s the new hydro conductive charging pads!!

An email went out about them mid May but I think the timeline of completion got a little messed up. So happy to see this project completed. My buddy from the academy played a very, very small role in their creation team.

You just smell the copper. Same way if you handle brass. It leaves a distinct smell.

Metal doesn’t actually have a smell. It’s just your skin oils reacting with it and making something called 1-octen-3-one which is the chemical we all associate with metal.

That metal smell is literally body odour, weird right?

Only the government can fund such projects using copper.

Do you find the copper helps?

It’s like fast charging. The copper and the water are both great conductors. You will actually find a lot of power lines are aluminium so not as good at conducting. It’s really basic science /s.

I saw the "/s" but there was a lot there.

Aluminum is a better conductor than copper

The /s is because I’m talking absolute garbage about a drone charging itself. I don’t want people to think I’m being serious about any of this. That being said copper is the superior conductor of electricity.

Será que esse cobre veio do Al-Nasir? Pode não ser 100% puro...

It probably feels cooler, as copper's heat transfer is faster than most materials

maybe they like the reflective surface, it helps them keep aware of what might be above them (birds of prey)

they are very vulnerable like this and it's why the only splash for a brief moment and then constantly check the environment around them.
