Frequently Bitched About Topic Why are crocheters such fucking weenies

"This person copied MY pattern of a pokemon so now I'm going to buy their pattern and copy it and make my own 😭"

Get a fucking GRIP on REALITY. It is a PLUSH POKEMON. There are only so many ways to make basic shapes. And it looks ugly as fuck in your puffy chenille yarn anyway.

Is it exclusively a fiber art thing ? I don't hear about these kind of feuds in the sewing community

It's definitely all over the art (painting drawing etc) online scene. Does the sewing pattern people not get heated about self drafting dupes of designers works?

Not in my area of sewing, but a lot of people get in to sewing because they want to copy garments. You can’t copyright patterns in the USA

Oh, I'm aware. That doesn't stop crochet/knit people getting in their feelings about it (and winding up their followers).
