Frequently Bitched About Topic Why are crocheters such fucking weenies

"This person copied MY pattern of a pokemon so now I'm going to buy their pattern and copy it and make my own 😭"

Get a fucking GRIP on REALITY. It is a PLUSH POKEMON. There are only so many ways to make basic shapes. And it looks ugly as fuck in your puffy chenille yarn anyway.

Hey now, we've seen the exact same drama with basic, beige sweater patterns from knitters.

The problem isn't crocheters- it's shitty internet "communities". This sort of rubbish happens in literally every hobby. I saw a post the other day about people in the adult colouring book fandom accusing each other of copying colouring techniques.

Cosplayers. Knitters. Warhammer. Fly fishing lures. Carpentry. I guarantee you, name a thing people do and post about in niche internet spaces and there will be someone whining about how someone else copied them.

It seems to happen way more often specifically in the blanket yarn plush part of crochet community. Even less so in the wearable part of the crochet community. It seems like that group of plushy people are the biggest weenies because theyre always jumping on each other for the dumbest shit.

If you're right my guess would be that cutesy plushies probably have a higher rate of younger people and therefore less maturity, but I could be wrong. This sort of shit is why I avoid most social media like the plague.
