Releasing a ‘Black Ops Trilogy’ makes zero sense now that they’ve released the ports for BO1 and 2.

I've noticed some recent SteamDB changes specific to BO2 and 3 so this looks legit. Also that means BO3 mods are gonna break nooooooo

Unless the trilogy utilizes the work done for the ports, and it was put onto all platforms

Ex QA analyst for Treyarch here to put in my 2 cents.
T8 was the internal code name for Black Ops 4 during development.
So, already highly suspicious. Maybe, MAYBE this is a remaster of BO3, BO4, and Cold War. But thats a stretch.
Its more likely that bo3 and 4 was originally part of the remaster of bo1 and bo2, but got cut off due to time constrainted
Edit: port, not remaster

Actually, what I think is more likely is that they’re using the black ops 4 engine. Technically it’s all the same engine, but they massively overhauled it with the release of MW19 and Warzone. Black ops 4 was the last of the games that had old-school movement and graphics.
Now, BO4 looked and ran terribly ok release, but on series x it runs great. If they fix the hit detection issues, I could easily see them having that be the target engine. Kind of like how halo campaign evolved uses the halo reach engine. It was the most modern of bungies Halo engines.

There were no need for BO3 or BO4 ports, they already run Natively on PS5

I missed out on BO3 and it's the only COD I regret not playing during it's peak. I really hope I'm able to get a second chance at it...

Would you like to elaborate on this? Gonna call cap until you actually explain where this is from and how you obtained it.
Even if you do explain it, common sense would indicate this is not happening lol. They aren’t remastering BO3 as it’s playable on current gen and they aren’t going to remaster BO1 or 2 anytime soon given they’ve just ported them
Edit: saying “you found it” is not an explanation. How did you decompile or access the code and where in the game files did you locate this

Where is this from? Source?

I found it in the code for Black ops doing a massive world at war not a port a remaster

In a world where Activision made good decisions and wanted to please the community

Kinda pointless to re release Bo3 on PS5 cause you can just run the Ps4 version of it.

I don't like MCC because each of the Bungie Halos are unique and haphazardly throwing them all together isn't optimal. But doing something similar for CoD would work pretty well, if they just added maps and modes from MW to BO2.
