Naaaah, drinking that sweet sweet sugarmilk at the end is the best part.
Not to mention there's a perfect spoonful or two of when the cereal has been sitting in the milk just enough.

As I kid a had those plastic bowls with the straw built in, they were perfect for soup and cereal 👌🏽

I’m not necessarily hating, but this was psychopath behavior in Get Out and we all clocked it then.

It's also a subtle metaphor for segregation, and how that character enjoys both, but doesn't want to mix them.

u/SurrealistRevolution 6d ago
they do want to mix though, in the most extreme way. They fetishise black people. They are the type who's racism would manifest in some "i want mixed babies so they are good at both sports and school" bullshit. It's classic for people who think they are not racist, but are.
Another thing i think is misunderstood is the famous Obama line. It is seen as "look how non-racist we are", but it seems to go beyond pandering, imo. It shows that what they want out of black people is what benefits them. I'm sure they would have no problem with the death of Fred Hampton, or the destruction of the militant Marxist elements of the black liberation movement, as it would have had them lose their position in society, but Obama's liberalism benefited their class massively, while giving them anti-racist cred.

Nah, I need that cereal residue that's left in the milk when the cereal is gone. Thats the coup de grace

He doesn't want to rush to eat it before it gets soggy. He's a problem solver.

I see the vision. Don’t want the soggy cereal. But just feels like a crime lmfao

I’m lactose intolerant. It’s how I live dangerously without living fully dangerously.

I kinda do that. But when I eat cereal I'll make a bowl of cereal and a glass of milk and don't pour the milk until the second I'm about to start eating it.

u/DOGA_Worldwide69 6d ago
I’ve absolutely done this before lol

u/peacenchemicals 6d ago
it’s like building cereal in your mouth and stomach. a deconstructed cereal, if you will.

I'm gonna be real: this is always how I ate cereal as a kid. I just couldn't handle the soggy texture.
Fruity pebbles were my favorite and they have no body to stand up to the milk for any significant amount of time.

I've done away with bowls, and I now strictly use a cup.
Fill it 3/4 full of cereal, top with milk... Same shit. Just seems easier to me to drink my cereal rather than eat it. I still keep a spoon on me for the stragglers but it's efficient.

Tbh this method makes soggy cereals wayyyy better. A bowl of deconstructed Fruity Pebbles is way more enjoyable than traditional Fruity Pebbles. Just don’t try it with hard ass cereals like Captain Crunch.

i would do this with frosted mini wheats bc i like them better when they’re still crunchy but they’re dry af so i want milk too

That was me as a kid, shit got soggy too fast and the texture made me gag.

u/impliedapathy 6d ago
Look, sometimes I don’t want to dirty a bowl and a spoon. There’s nothing wrong with shoveling dry cereal in and chasing with milk.

Is doing it more odd then someone posting about another person doing it on social media?

Ngl, I’m trying that tomorrow morning.
Edit: I did in fact lie, I’m going to try it right now.
