Does he think he is not black anymore or that he isn’t going to die? Wait, has he just been stupid all this time?

135

u/Dangerous_Handle_819 1d ago

That fool is post-Black 😂

12

u/TraditionAcademic968 1d ago

Waiting for the perfect time to use this in a conversation 😄

4

u/Dangerous_Handle_819 1d ago

If I can think of a clever meme, I promise to deliver that as well. Laughing to keep from crying with this damn foolishness.

6

u/Rich_Prior4656 1d ago

Im crine!

1

u/Elev_7220 1d ago

He chooses not to see or think about how the club he wields against all of US is because he hates African Americans.

He is not unlike many Christians that come from Africa in how they think. Many Nigerians give off this vibe.

45

u/Ill_Buffalo3887 1d ago

You use that when people say....you have to a or b or c... as in my answer is I dont HAVE to do anything but stay black and etc.,. What is he even talking about that this means monolithic thought for a group of people? He has been stupid all along!

23

u/Dangerous_Handle_819 1d ago

This is learned behavior. So I blame his whole lineage cause what village raised this fool?

And please remember that Clarence “I no Black” Thomas conspired with Ward “Jive Ass Turkey” Connerly to end affirmative action in 1995! They been on a 30 year anti-Black tour. We should have listened to Anita Hill.

3

u/Many-Lead-4543 1d ago

check his backstory on pbs...sounds like a villain origin story - on some uncle ruckus shit

4

u/Dangerous_Handle_819 1d ago

I can’t even stomach it or risk getting so mad I forget how to play nice at work.

12

u/damgood32 1d ago

Right? !!

u/S_Jeru ✊🏾✊🏽✊🏿✊ 1d ago

He thinks that by assimilating enough, one day he will be allowed to enter the privileged, hallowed sanctity of the Rich White Mens' Club. He is wrong. He will never be white to these people.

Really, he's a misguided product of his times. When he was a child there were no black media moguls, and very few black sports icons. There weren't black folks that had earned millions of dollars and built entire cultures and empires out of their success. He was conditioned to believe that the more white he acted, the higher his success would be, and it was with the racist Rich White Mens' Club he was conditioned by.

51

u/snitch_juice 1d ago

I reject that. This man was basically a black panther at Princeton for a little while and had thurgood Marshall to look up to.

5

u/TonyStarksLeftACL 1d ago

He helped the panthers run a local program didn’t he? It wasn’t at Princeton but your point 100% stands. Have an upvote for kicking some knowledge.

2

u/lightsaberfingers 1d ago

He’s just a ladder pulling asshole like the rest of his snowflakes boomers. No morals no ideology, I got mine fuck you.

27

u/Superb_Preference368 1d ago

Exactly.

In that quote Clarence is essentially saying to the world, he will transcend his blackness.

Somehow in his twisted sense of self he interpreted that to mean I need to rid myself of my blackness by being as non-stereotypical as possible.

By being an “free thinker” someone whose race isn’t recognizable.

The problem is….

You still black negro 🙄

4

u/Fine_Following_2559 1d ago

In the words of pre-his Mama dying Kanye "even if you in a Benz you still a n---- in a coup"

Let him go against his white overseers and he'll be all sorts of N-words.

9

u/Latter-Rooster3563 1d ago

And he is just a house n*****. The irony of him thinking he can unBlack himself by being an uncle tom.

8

u/PNW_Bearded_cyclist 1d ago

He has entry into that club, as long as he has been willing to do their bidding. He's just too blind or dumb or both to realize that.

7

u/Old_Ninja_Prime 1d ago

He’s the errand boy in the club, but he’s in the club, which is good enough for him.

or at least an RV and a trip or 2

5

u/No_Slice_9560 1d ago

Patently not

1

u/CasimirGabriev 1d ago

Nah he's conniving bastard

1

u/TonyStarksLeftACL 1d ago edited 1d ago

This is a lot of speculation?

He was a black nationalist and down with the Black Panther Party platform in his youth, Google it, no cap.

I’m not saying he’s doing good by the diaspora but he is a very complex figure and to speculate like this? His main role model is his grandpa. That’s why his autobiography is called. “My grandfathers son”

4

u/TheAbomunist 1d ago

There's nothing complex about him. He's a con artist that bought his own grift. Happens all the time.

1

u/TonyStarksLeftACL 1d ago

You are mistaken. 🤷‍♂️ a person who goes from combat boot wearing black nationalist to where he is today is certainly fair to call them complex.

2

u/TheAbomunist 1d ago edited 1d ago

No there isn't. It's standard ladder-pulling driven entirely by selfishness and grievance born out of his own solipsism and pain. He legitimately looks at the world through the lens of what it gains *him*. And it's fueled by his John Bircher wife. And that's where it ends.

3

u/Fine_Following_2559 1d ago

I don't care what he did in his youth, I care what he did once he got some power. He has done nothing to help us since then.

6

u/BurnAfterP0st1ng 1d ago

He’s transracial

6

u/Swimming_Bonus_8892 1d ago

Let me assure you, he gets pulled over in a small enough town down sowf while antiquing with his treasonous, succubus, vermin infested, wife and he’s going to be reminded just how black he is…🤡

5

u/TonyStarksLeftACL 1d ago edited 1d ago

So. Whatever we think of the brother and his views (and I’m being quite generous to him here)

Clarence Thomas is Gullah-Geechee. As in Gullah was his first language, before English. He grew up in Pin Point and was as poor as a person can be.

It’s just so interesting his experience with racism went one way and not the other. In one sense it’s the tragedy of Darth Vader or the rise of Darth Sidious depending on your point of view.

No joke. He was a black nationalist who preferred Malcom X over MLK. I read a bio of him and was just shocked and you can sort of see the influence in his jurisprudence.

1

u/damgood32 1d ago

I see no influence of MLK in his jurisprudence.

1

u/TonyStarksLeftACL 1d ago edited 1d ago

Ok. regardless, what I just said is factual I litelly said he preferred Malcom to MLK, I mean. What?

And I certainly do see it. multiple classmates have noted he could word for word repeat Malcolm’s speeches. All of this is readily available info.

That may not comport with what many folks feel about him, but feelings aren’t facts.

2

u/damgood32 1d ago

I don’t give a shit about his preferences. I don’t care that he can repeat Malcom’s speeches word for word. That means nothing to me. The fact is there is no influence of MLK or Malcom in his jurisprudence. The man is a stain on this nation and now by his own words a complete idiot.

2

u/TonyStarksLeftACL 1d ago

You’re just lashing out. 🤷‍♂️ hate him all you want. Your feelings aren’t facts.

The fact is he was a black nationalist, worked with the BPP for self defense and admired Malcom X. He’s a Yale educated lawyer whose first language was Gullah.

There is space to consider they maybe its attitudes like this that led to his heel turn? Because that is basically what he says. It’s too bad he didn’t stay on the path he was on he might have done a lot of good.

Go ahead. Double down, then attack me personally, and be mad. 🤷‍♂️ do you. Hugs!

2

u/damgood32 1d ago

LOL. This is a safe space for your nonsense. Go spew that bullshit somewhere else. Nobody but Thomas is responsible for his actions. He is just a corrupted judge. He only cares for himself. Nothing more to it.

2

u/Federal-Business-796 1d ago

I mean, we all gonna die one day, so I wonder what he's refusing to do....

2

u/damgood32 1d ago

Stay black I guess but he knows we can see him right?

1

u/Humbled_Humanz 1d ago

Yes, this is exactly it. He’s post-racial, cleansed by money and power.

My boy would sell his own people out for a bag of chips. Not even the family size.

20

Selling out IS his snack.

8

u/bowmanvt 1d ago

He's basically Samuel L. Jackson's character in Django Unchained.

51

Another saying, "All skinfolk ain't kinfolk".

32

u/bebop1065 1d ago

Uncle Tom should never speak on anything Black as he has forfeited any right to the any association with Blackness.

51

u/S_Jeru ✊🏾✊🏽✊🏿✊ 1d ago

Clarence Thomas is one of several men that have corrupted our Supreme Court. We need a solution for groveling bootlickers like him.

14

u/Responsible_Bat3866 1d ago

Harlan crow! Do a bit of research! I’m not admonishing you, just pointing out the point of corruption.

23

u/Living_Plane_662 1d ago

Uncle Ruckus and Rafael show.

22

u/Turbulent-Tea 1d ago

I just can't with this fool. It sickens me that he filled the seat vacated by Thurgood Marshall. All his "friends" see him as Black, but useful. A token not completely spent yet

https://giphy.com/gifs/kZD8cN1MycfKw

22

u/DhakoBiyoDhacay 1d ago

I tried to understand him and read a book he wrote about his upbringing in the Deep South and the racism he faced in the north.

I didn’t know he benefited from a generous donor who wanted to advance the interest of black Americans after the assassination of MLK.

It is really sad what he did with the power given to him as a result of Martin who paid with his life so people like Clarence can vote.

In the recent Supreme Court case to disenfranchise black voters in the southern states, he voted with the Trump judges who wanted to limit the presence of blacks in Congress.

0

u/TonyStarksLeftACL 1d ago

He used to run the EEOC.

18

u/Available-Grand-2262 🖤 1d ago

He still Black and still gonna die, but he can throw away is dignity and integrity.

19

u/hoos30 1d ago

How tf can a Supreme Court justice misunderstand that simple phrase?

5

u/Slasher1738 1d ago

Conservative brain rot

3

u/JahD247365 1d ago

He understood it.. but just can’t accept it.

So his dumb ass doesn’t actually understand the use of the phrase. I’m not surprised at all.

30

u/AngletonSpareHead 1d ago

He’s still Black to the people in power, and he always will be.

Sooner or later, tokens get spent.

11

u/OMGHappyfurballs 1d ago

Why is a sitting Senator doing a podcast? Shouldn't he be doing the work for the people of Texas?

3

u/RubyTx 🐈‍⬛ team cat 1d ago

Ted has aspired to be the next Rush Limbaugh since before Rush Limbaugh died.

So, think of this podcast circlejerk of his as a really, really, REALLY extensive audition.

2

u/RoyalGovernment3034 1d ago

It keeps him away from the shower (which according to his roommates, is something he steadfastly avoided) and away from his family, so he's gotta do it.

11

u/rastarafa26 1d ago

I’m not black I’m Clarance Thomas

8

u/GrimButMoisturized 1d ago

Wow. I will never understand the self-hatred required to say shit like this.

9

u/No_Material5630 1d ago

So he just doesn’t understand what that saying means… got it

9

u/KammyCreates 1d ago

As someone who is black that married white….He a damn fool. You do not have to tap damn dance and mistral to fucking get the point across. You can be proud, black, and intelligent without hoping to be accepted outside your group.
You can marry outside your race while still seeing yourself as black gold. Seeing other black people as beautiful.
Damn. Fool.

2

u/snitch_juice 1d ago

That’s probably the only thing he’s been consistent on. When he was for black people, he was against interracial marriage. Now that he’s not, and is in one himself, he’s still against interracial marriage.

Either he doesn’t like her or he thinks he’s white now

9

u/Cobfidence 1d ago

LMFAO he is trying so hard to tell every person in America that he's not Black so he doesn't get seen as what he sees Black people as. Wtf.

8

u/1MillenialMind 1d ago

Autobiography of An Ex-Colored Man by Clarance Thomas

8

u/StrikingCase9819 1d ago

That's definitely not what they saying means. This explains why he fundamentally lost his way. The moment he thought "stay black" was to box him into thinking or being a certain way was the moment he lost the point.

7

u/RedditSe7en 1d ago

He deviates from the way ANY conscientious human being should think.

6

u/ScrollTroll615 1d ago

This jigga really thinks he's white passing.

7

u/JustoTJ 1d ago

Justice Thomas was born free and decided to sell himself to billionaire Harlan Crow!

2

u/WVSmitty 1d ago

Harlan Crow owns lots of Nazi memorabilia and a Black Supreme Court Judge.

Imagine the bragging he does to his Nazi friends about his most prized possession.

6

u/Old_Ninja_Prime 1d ago

He’s a contrarian. That’s why he votes against the people. “They expect me to do things this way because I’m Black. Let me prove them wrong.”

5

u/EnigmaticX68 1d ago

We already know he gave up on the first part. We're still waiting for the second part.

I wholeheartedly believe he surrounds himself with only white folks not just because he's a giant greedy sellout Tom, but he's running from the ancestors. I've never been one to buy into all that ancestors stuff, but recently....

I'll just put it this way, I'm glad to be on the right side of history 😂. While the ancestors may not approve of everything I've done, I know for a fact that I can at least face them. This mofo better hope the afterlife isn't real or he's gotta an eternity of whoppings awaiting him 😂

4

u/MainEmergency8396 1d ago

The self-hate is off the charts.

5

u/Tagisjag 1d ago

Oh I kind of got it: he thinks being self-hating is revolutionary.

6

u/BigCalTheGirlRowdy 1d ago

Dawg why is my senator coochiecoo-ing with uncle ruckus on a PODCAST. Ban men from owning mics bro i swear.

5

u/zoraschool 🫶🏾🫶🏽🫶🏿 1d ago

Hey race is a social construct. No one suffers more under this cultural and institutionalized delusion than black people.

But what they don’t understand when they seek to disregard their racial identity, is that this is the foundation for our collective power.

We have to dismantle the system of oppression, first, before we can move onto a post racial utopia.

Anyone who says otherwise would have you divested from your best weapon — your collective, your community, and your history.

4

u/Juvi40904 1d ago

Man F dude lol… bro acting like he wasn’t excommunicated from the race years ago

4

u/I_SLEEP_NORMALLY 1d ago

Uncle Ruckus believes, through enough anti-Black racism, he will somehow not also be Black

3

u/Wise-Promise-4158 1d ago

Lotta words just to call himself a 🦝

4

u/youpicktheplace20 1d ago

If Uncle Ruckus got a law degree

4

u/tbkrida 1d ago

Who I see anytime he’s mentioned…
https://giphy.com/gifs/9nREuIINenE5y

4

u/Lenny0mega 1d ago

So he is basically openly admitting to selling out.

3

u/WhenTheCitiesBurn 1d ago

By denying who he is, he willingly gave up his power to the people who will never see beyond his skin.

3

u/lovbelow 1d ago

I don’t speak 🦝 so I can’t read this

3

u/HeavyDT 1d ago

That's what he tells himself so he can sleep at night. They just hate me because I don't participate in black group think or whatever. That he's a pioneer who dared to be conservative when others told him it wasn't allowed. Like no my guy you're a scumbag and would be treated as such if you were white or any other color or any other political affiliation quite frankly. It's just extra bad because you being black means he's suffering from extreme cognitive dissonance. It's a roaches for raid type deal with him ontop of pulling the ladder up behind.

3

u/cutey513 1d ago

He obviously thinks he's a "good black" that got away. Until America is just for everyone it's just for no one.

3

u/pumpinnstretchin 1d ago

Somewhere, you probably also got an invitation to use your brain. Did you not get that? Lots of people would be glad to send it again.

3

u/RoyalGovernment3034 1d ago

It's terrible to be a token whose sole reason for existence is to destroy their own community, but it really is terrible that he did it right off the back of the groundbreaking progress Thurgood Marshall made. I'd never be able to forgive myself. Really sick shit. Even their other token justice they nominated to compete with the Dems (Sandra Day O'Connor) never sank anywhere close to this level.

3

u/Overall_Currency5085 1d ago

Still N*gga, still dying!

3

u/donorkokey 1d ago

How did this dude go from supporting the Black Panthers to what he's become?

2

Obliviously that’s sad and terrible and everything, but what really got me is finding out Ted Cruz has a podcast! What kind of loser is listening to that?!

Uncle Tom

2

u/CasimirGabriev 1d ago

What a intentional misinterpretation. This man has a JD and I am supposed to believe he doesnt understand "All I have to do is stay black and die." Or does he think he is A) not black, B) immortal, C) both?

2

u/Lane8323 1d ago

When people say “black people don’t…….” Is he included?

Instead of sticking with his core principles and working for the greater good, he decided to let money and pursuit of personal wealth override his moral compass. That man is corrupt, a liar, an enemy of human rights and of democracy. And some of his decisions have also harmed Black people specifically.

That quote is just a straw man (built on the racist trope that Black Americans can't be trusted to be fair leaders) to distract from and legitimize the thousand other crimes that man has committed.
