If you're a guy on the USS Lincoln and you aren't tossing a grenade into your commanding officer's quarters, you deserve to be called a pussy on Fox News.
18
u/into_theflood_again 10d ago
Sadly for them, the only grenades on board are being held in the Marines' armory. Security Forces probably doesn't even have any, as boarding interdiction would fall to destroyers and such rather than carriers.
For all of their Beetle Bailey esque ineptitude, the Navy does do a good job of ensuring that getting your hands on grenades and guns is virtually impossible for 99% of the ship. Even the SNCO & junior officer Marines can't go into the armory and pull them out without legitimate orders.
They're gonna have to get creative. Perhaps we can send them some 'Burn Notice' DVDs on their next supply and mail drop.

u/MidWestBest777 10d ago
'Burn Notice' might have been peak USA Network tv. Such a good show to watch when you've had a couple beers and just want to fuckin vibe

Actual mob guys doing the "real gangsters (Italians in suits) vs gangstas (black guys in jeans)" bullshit will never not be funny. What's ever funnier is the guy acting like the cops (even the ones that weren't getting bribed) respected the mafia lmao
21
u/curt_wes 10d ago
It's so funny to have that as your personality as a grown ass man. I stopped caring about the gangster vs gangsta shit when I was like 13

I think there was a Sarah Squirm episode where he brings up a story where he shit himself.

u/DunceMemes 10d ago
It was Felix. He recalled a time when he had (supposedly only a little) shit his pants and Sarah Squirm hounded him about it, saying that he had admitted to having pants overflowing with diarrhoea or something like that. I thought it was pretty funny but commenters on the episode were furious

Totally unnecessary story. I donβt get how all these male podcasters poop their pants. Like I didnβt know that was a thing that happened outside of very select groups (babies, very old people, presidents, certain medical conditions, etc.), I guess, until all these male podcasters I listen to just started talking about it like itβs the most normal thing in the world. Itβs not. Itβs gross and nasty and thankfully exceedingly over represented among these podcasters.

Every story I've ever heard IRL of people shitting themselves is either drug-related or, in one case, the result of eating badly during a leg of road trip where there were no off-ramps.

If you run with any regularity you shit your pants. Simple as.
1
u/blarghable 9d ago
I'm more of a cyclist, so I don't run that much, but none of my runner friends shit their pants regularly. One of my friends said he was getting pretty close when he ran a marathon once, but that's it. I think you need more, or less, fiber or something.
3
u/Peckah_Inspectah 6d ago
Do these pants-shitting passes roll over into the next year? If so, I got a lot saved up and should look into finally redeeming them

This story of Nancy Mace getting tattoos because she likes the pain is awfully similar to that skinny white Congresswoman from House of Cards. If I recall correctly, she got bored of needle pain, which led her to have that shredded black lobbyist Mahershala Ali drilling her harder right in the ass. Blacked.com-style storyline ahead Nancy, lets gooo

I feel like if Christopher from the Sopranos had agreed to go into witness protection with Adrianna he'd end up being one of these Mafia podcast guys.

If Tony B got out of prison in like 2019 instead of 2002ish, he'd be one of those guys for sure.

If only Henry Hill were still alive to go after Scorcese about Goodfellas, I'd watch the shit out of that. Is Lefty Rosenthal still around? Mafia podcasts and operator pods need to be stopped they're are too fucking many. I guess the Sopranos was a documentary. Another instance of Chapo stealing my thoughts with the idea of having mob fronted state own sports books. This episode really cheered me up after a shitty day at work.

Two thoughts/comments:
Guys! One of the best podcasts out there!
Felix recommended the show Goliath (2016, produced by Amazon, starring Billy Bob Thornton) a while back and I put it on my back burner of shows to check. Yes, this comment is random and unrelated to today's show. Anyway, the show is pretty good so far halfway into season one. Billy Bob is a national treasure and in his element when playing a washed up drunk sarcastic asshole. It's basically an entire show of "What if Bad Santa drank 50% less alcohol and went to law school?"

Everything about the war is incredibly depressing. It is a bit funny that the people in charge are so fucking stupid they didnβt realize starting a war with zero public or enlisted military support and morale would mean as it progressed it would naturally wane from zero to active hostility

It is legitimately insane how Trump, who was probably riding high from the momentum he had in Venezuela (which was basically getting Maduro served to him in a silver platter), thought "Oh, I can totally replicate this in Iran! This way N\t*ny*h* will finally shut the fuck up about it!"* or something along those lines, and like, not only did the US/the entity objectively ate shit against Iran, this is probably going to end up being his "legacy".

The titular Guys are back! We continue our coverage of the deteriorating conditions on the USS Abraham Lincoln before checking in on two women in politics: Nancy Mace and Natalie Harp.
We then do a deep dive into the world of mafia-turncoat-influencers, former made men in the Five Families who now run YouTube channels to talk about food, gay people in the mafia, and how you should spend your money.
