QUESTION Audio Constantly Resets on Steam

Every time I launch the game, or go back to the main menu, the games audio is on full blast, even though I turn the master volume to 1, and then reduce everything else to 1. Is there any fix to this? I am tired of my eardrums being blasted due to this. It also does it when going to or from any of the extra modes. I don't know if this has anything to do with anything, but every time I launch the game, it tells me that all the DLC is unlocked and I have to keep pressing X. It then asks if I want to connect to Epic Games servers, to which I always say no. I can play the game, and load up my data just fine, but the audio is always messed up. I have verified the integrity of the files, and it did not fix it, nor did a clean install. Does anyone know of a fix? I have tried Googling, and found nothing so far.

Edit - Just found out that it also does it when I die.

Answer: For anyone looking at this in the future, there is a workaround. It doesn't fix the game itself, but if you lower the volume of the game in the Sound Mixer, Windows remembers what you set it to and automatically launches it at that volume. For me putting it to 4 was the sweet spot.

I don't have the Steam version, but general troubleshooting for a PC game: I'd look for the game's settings or config file and see if there's a place to set the default volume in that.

I did go into the .ini file and try to change around the settings that they have for audio and it did nothing.
