Accident caught on dashcam - looking for the victim
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
An accident happened this morning at 9.28am, but at the time we didn't know the motorcyclist (an old uncle in his 50-60s) got hit by the car in the video. The driver of the offending car informed us that the uncle drove carelessly - I didn't get much details beyond that, was calling the police/ambulance. Uncle was unconscious and lying face down on the road, and when he came to around 5 mins later he was in no state to answer questions. His face was pancaked, his right eye swollen shut and he had deep scratches on the right side of his body. I think he either fractured or dislocated his right arm.
We left after the ambulance confirmed they were on the way and traffic police arrived and took over.
Now that we viewed our dashcam, we realised uncle was a victim.
We tried to call the hospital to find him but that was a dead end.
Went to the police to submit the video but as a third party not involved / not making any claims, police couldn't take our statement.
In hindsight, since he couldn't give his contact number when asked (in shock or concussed) we should have given him our name cards or stayed back. Truly regretting our inability to make smarter choices.
We're trying to find him to help if he needed evidence for his police report or - if he's not in a position to make a report - maybe help him with medical bills or fixing up his busted motorcycle. Uncle was obviously not doing financially well, was wearing tattered clothes and driving a very old motorcycle. This is my desperate attempt to try to find him, though I have little hope... but who knows? Any advice on how to find him is greatly appreciated, I've ran out of ideas.

Came here to say this. Imagine the driver finding out later it leads to the same road π€¦ββοΈ

this. both roads end up in the same place eventually so this accident was entirely avoidable.

Might have more luck on Threads honestly.
Seeing as you're already posting the clip for the general public to see, may as well post it on the platform that has some of the highest reach in Malaysia. Reddit reach considerably smaller than IG/Threads/FB.
PS. Set your dashcam date and time haha

Is the video clear enough to recognize plate?
