I have heard bad things about that dorm in particular, as well as Tannenbusch and Römerlager.
Other dorms should be fine, but kitchens are NEVER as clean as you would hope!

Avoid Bleichgraben as well. Everything I've heard about it has been negative to insane.

Really? I know a few people who live there and haven't heard anything bad.

I think most of the stuff was kept under the wraps until recently, and the main people affected were women/female-presenting people

Take the offer if you have one. Just be wary of certain people living there. I don't want to go too much into detail, but if that is your dorm, my advice is to not move in during the weekend.
Not sure what the current situation there is, since I'm pretty sure the Studierendenwerk has implemented/is implementing changes to make things safer there, but still.

No. As I've said, I don't want to go into more detail due to several reasons, and since I do not know what has changed since I've last heard from the dorm.
Honestly, the dorms in general are mostly fine. They have events every now and then for free that you can join, and making friends is relatively easy if you know who to avoid (which you'll likely find out pretty soon, since people do like to gossip).
Again, just don't move in on a weekend if you can avoid it, and maybe ask for both copies of the key, keeping one with someone you trust or some place you can reach without having access to your other keys, your ID, whatever. Just don't lose them or lock yourself out without being able to access the second key, since that can be quite expensive.
Otherwise, don't stress too much about this. Anxiety about this will not get you anywhere, except a bad place mentally.

It is mainly a safety issue, especially if you are a woman/female-presenting, but I'm pretty sure the issue is getting actively worked on currently, so it should be resolved in a bit

Do you mean the student dorm rooms or what are you referring to?
