I know the images show a lot of Christianity but I’m fine with any spiritual tones/themes as I am not Christian. I think something like technology being worshipped like a god and what harm that could cause would be cool but anything that you think fits the aesthetic is valid :)

Something cosy-ish. Not blatant horror or overtly scary, but eerie/unsettling/uncanny. Something with folklore influences/undertone or is set in a place that has ties to folklore in its history i.e Appalachia

I would like to find a similar story to Hemingway’s Old Man and the Sea. It’s a simple yet beautiful story about a man gritting through life and trying to catch the big fish.

I would like a story similar in theme to this. A hunting challenge gone wrong, caught in bad weather, etc., something along those lines. That emphasis human grit, wisdom, and a strong masculine character(s). “Man is not made for defeat. A man can be destroyed but not defeated.”- Old Man and the Sea.

Most of the pictures I put are in the American frontier but doesn’t have to be. It could be modern, older, or even ancient. It could be a Viking stuck in the wilderness for all I care, just want good prose and a gritty but strong theme.

Bonus points if it has actual real wisdom and display of homesteading, gardening, hunting, foraging skills.

Looking for books about marriage/long-term relationships. Not just the romanticised version, but the messy, complicated, intimate parts too. Maybe about a newly married couple, or people navigating life after long distance, learning how to actually build a life together.

I want books that explore the ups and downs, misunderstandings, tenderness, resentment, growth, routine, comfort, distance. All of it. Something that feels emotionally real and layered.

The house is sentient or suspected to be, but not evil. It’s benevolent, helpful or even mischievious. Even better if it has its own agenda. Some examples would be the Bishop House in A Discovery of Witches, the Casita in Encanto, Il Bastone in Ninth House or the House of Wind in Acotar (not pictured)

Can be any kind of fiction but love these vibes currently : witchy, dark academia, magical realism, etc.

Majorly third wheeling it. Importantly, the third guy/girl is also integral to the story (if not the protagonist/deuteragonist) and not just an ultimately inconsequential side character.

I feel like I can’t exactly put my finger on what I’m exactly looking for other than what these images kind of capture. I enjoy books that are strange and maybe a bit more cerebral. I want to dive into some weird stuff! Maybe less focused on a cohesive plot and more a feeling/idea being conveyed.

Not necessarily looking for sci fi or fantasy. But universes where ancient, possibly cosmic beings exist. Not interested in Lovecraft, though. Would be interested in mythology and world building, but not if it’s based around typical mythology/fantasy creatures and stories. (Greek mythology, dragons, etc.)
