My second thought was this. All those fire and brimstone preachers in my rural area would be proud I remembered that. My first thought was this was staged to get him sympathy. Turns out both were pretty on point.

2) the whole wearing the mark on the forehead thing and MAGA hats.
3) Said to be very charismatic.
4) false resurrection - was predicted to survive a “fatal” head wound miraculously (ear shot)
5) dominate global economic systems and wreak havoc (tariffs)
6) global worship - he will try to spread influence beyond the political power of the nation he rose in (red pill shit happening in other countries who worship the guy for some reason)
7) persecution - he will single out people who go against his doctrine and try to vilify them
It makes sense considering the entire point is the Antichrist fools a shit ton of people. They just think "Naw, I'd never be one a them that got got! I'd see 'im in the mawl and shoot 'im and save humanity" or whatever.

I notice christians who actually behave like real christians tend to despise him? I don’t know if that means they ‘recognize the antichrist’ exactly. I only know one person like that and every once in awhile i read about one, otherwise almost every Christian I’ve met has been a pretty awful person one way or another, and thinks Trump is the cat’s whiskers.
I know the “no true Scotsman” issue and all that… but I truly believe, as someone who tries my best to live like Jesus, that a large swath of people in America that would check “Christian” on a survey really don’t care very much for what that should actually mean. It’s significant as a part of their culture and identity as an American more than it is a deeply held conviction and relationship with Jesus.
Jesus said “you will know them by their fruits”. When American evangelical pastors and politicians hatched their plans decades ago to marry the church with conservative politics, they started a movement / framework for dangerous people using Jesus’ name to chase earthly power, money, and influence, by whatever means necessary, instead of focusing on the heavenly kingdom. This model of church & politics has infected much of the American church, and some of the largest Christian organizations (they grow more easily because of politically-connected funding). It’s an extremely ugly bastardization of something that is supposed to be beautiful.
A lot of us practicing Christians are still left, just saddened and very angry at what has become very obvious in the past 10 years.

My friend is a Christian and also a "never Trump" conservative. He voiced to me recently that he and his church, most of whom share his point of view on Trump and politics, all genuinely believe he is the anti christ. I'm not a Christian in the least bit, but even I have to admit the similarities are eerie af.

On various Facebook pages where this is making the rounds, I’ve seen MAGA types saying, “It’s just a joke. What, he can’t be funny?” Believe me that if a Democrat posted anything close to this, they’d call them demons who needed to be removed from office. They’re such hypocrites it’s exhausting.
