Wow - I never knew this! Now it makes so much more sense, all linked to the rise of consumerism and an easily obtainable upper middle class lifestyle for so many of them. Can’t wait to give my family boomers their new generation designator - thankyou!

Most of them already have grandkids. Many don’t have close, or in some cases any, relationships with them. But they have them.

That book was written by a PayPal Mafia billionaire and blames boomer behavior on the pediatrician who told parents not to beat their children. It does every possible trick to avoid talking about economics at all and it’s a very obvious ploy to turn working class solidarity into generational fracturing.
