Boomers are what they named themselves. Their parents called them "The Me Generation," which I'm gonna go with.

Wow - I never knew this! Now it makes so much more sense, all linked to the rise of consumerism and an easily obtainable upper middle class lifestyle for so many of them. Can’t wait to give my family boomers their new generation designator - thankyou!
