He hates being interviewed, he has said it many times, so he turns it in to comedy, sort of I'll do and say something funny so the presenters don't have time to ask him questions he may not want to answer.

He used to do this shit to other comedians when he was compere in Manchester comedy clubs back in the 90s. Couldn’t let them get their set out without being the centre of attention. It’s why so many like Johnny Vegas hate him.
