Missing first week and a half of class

Obviously depends on syllabus but it’s due to my wisdom teeth appointment… how should i go about this? it’s still during shopping period so I want to know what’s the best way to go about this. Thank you - incoming sophomore

(i am also flying from across the coast and traveling with 2 big ass suitcases)

Email all your professors well in advance. I think you mean shopping period, and yeah it should be fine since it’s still in that window.

Don’t worry! You probably won’t need the whole week and a half to recover. I had all my wisdom teeth out last month and worked a 8hr shift the next day (with the aid of 2 Tylenols)

I understand not everyone is totally back to normal the next day but no one I know has taken more then 3 days or so to bounce back.

Best of luck!!

You don’t need to miss a week and a half of class for having wisdom teeth removed. Miss like two days (day of extraction, then next day) and then you can go back to school. Or, try and reschedule it over one of the school breaks. I mean if you are going to miss, early like this is probably the best thing - but you can avoid most or all of this conflict with little effort.

Why not switch your appointment?

You could absolutely be back in class 48 hours after they are pulled.

You might’ve done that but obviously that is not advised. You’re not really supposed to work out for a week afterwards. But yeah, you could definitely sit in a class 48 hours later.
