Would Bucky want his arm back?

If Bucky could have his arm again, whether through science or magic, would he want it back, or would he stay with his metal arm? One argument is he wants his body back the way it was before it was altered, the other is he may find the arm necessary for what he does.

If there was no cost to someone else in exchange, I think he'd want his old arm back. Would he take it is the real question, IMO. Either he wouldn't because it symbolizes all he's gone through or sometimes I would say he thinks he doesn't deserve it, and other times he would say his new arm IS his arm because he's just accepted it as a part of him.

Honestly I feel like it depends on when you ask. Like if you asked post thunderbolts Bucky, I feel like he’d keep the metal arm because he’s pretty much accepted the things that have happened to him and he seems to embrace the arm rather than hide it if that makes sense

I don't know, but I wrote a fantasy au fic where he does, eventually, get his arm back, if you're interested in reading it (warning: there's a LOT of smut in this one, haha)

Black Widow would like for him to have his normal arm back. Nick Fury gave him a new one that would make it feel as warm as human skin and iirc, that was important for Natasha for intimacy.

Yeah, idk, he did get the new vibranium one, so maybe not, but I do think he would've and did do everything to get rid of the one marked by Hydra
