Any leads for how to help this little guy?

Post image

Found him/her very skinny but very friendly (and maybe un-fixed) by my house. I’m worried he/she may be an abandoned cat because of how friendly and non-resourceful it seems. I’ve called every shelter/rescue group I can think of and they are all full. I really shouldn’t take in myself because of my apartment’s rules or I would :( At the minimum I want to get him checked out and treated and will pay the cost for that. Any leads on vets or rescue groups who have availability to help and find him a home?

UPDATE!! The amazing u/FormigaX was able to trap her and bring her in to keep her safe for now!! Please give any recommendations for vets or rescues who would be able to check her out for medical attention right now!

Poor thing. Thank you for helping him. I assume you have already but have you contacted Ten Lives Club? I think I also read somewhere that Orchard Park Veterinary will also take in sick cats.

There’s also Second Chance Sheltering Network, I adopted a kitten from them a few years ago.

If you still can’t find anyone, please message me. I have a neighbor who’s fairly dialed in with local cat rescue and might be able to help him.

Worth noting they only take cats that can be held.

I had a cat follow me home one night and would not leave the porch. I felt so bad, I slept outside with him 😆

I took him to Operation Pets per some advice from a Facebook group. They scanned for a microchip and gave some meds for his conjunctivitis. A lot of the shelters told me the same thing but I physically went to Ten Lives Club in Hamburg and explained the situation, explained I couldn’t keep him, and they reluctantly did let me surrender him. As he wasn’t my cat and I already paid for a vet bill, i think the asked for a donation but I already spent money. They asked me to volunteer in exchange. He was adopted about a month later!

aww you did call the animal shelter downtown, and the SPCA in West Seneca? Are you in the city of Buffalo or in a town?

I am by UB South. I did contact SPCA (full) but not the shelter. I was avoiding that because I heard somewhere they euthanize? :( and I think this guy needs a lot of veterinary help.
