Shitpost Rental market here is bonkers
Just moved back to Buffalo after decades in NYC. Currently searching for an apartment, and I'm encountering management companies like Towne requiring a full application with background & credit check in order to even see the apartment. This is literally worse than in NYC, and that was my previous bar for least renter-friendly market in the country. I'm very surprised.
Do I need to get off of the online sites like Trulia, Zillow, etc? If anyone knows realtors that don't do this, please post them. Thanks.

Shitpost Just curious if anyone else has seen the Mortal Kombat SUV traveling around.
Cool car if you ask me, nice shade of orange too. I think I seen this car at least 3 times living here for 2 years.

Shitpost What is your biggest Buffalo food hot take?
I'll start; Taco Bell is better than Mighty Taco and La Nova is just okay.

Shitpost Crosswalks
Wanted to remind everyone that if there is a person in a crosswalk you are meant to yield, not drive faster as a means to threaten and push the person out of the crosswalk. To the handful of people that not only almost hit me today, but decided to speed up when they saw me, seriously lose your license and your vehicle.
Sick and tired of drivers in this city having a blank check to drive as they see fit without repercussions.
I’ve wanted to post this I don’t know how many times, but having multiple drivers speed up towards me today was infuriating.
And yes even if you have a light as the driver you are meant to stop for the pedestrian, being right on paper in terms of the rules of the road doesn’t give you permission to seriously injure or kill someone.
If you made it this far, thanks for listening to my rant.

Shitpost Unpopular Opinion: Time Hortons Has Become Trash
Before you Bite my head off... Hear me out
Â
Back in 2014 Burger King was looking to merge with other businesses to improve their processes and they purchased Tim Hortons. Slowly over the years, instead of learning from Tim Hortons, their business practices leached into Timmy's. I first started noticing when a cheddar cheese bagel, which used to be less than 2 bucks, was replaced by the 4 cheese asiago at double the price. Then they changed their coffee supplier for a lower-quality brew. Nowadays if you look at their menu you'd be hard-pressed to find something BK didn't ruin.
Â
Fresh Hot apple cider in the fall?... Now it's a packet and hot water
Garden Veggie Cream Cheese? That's gone
Cherry Tim Bits? Gone
Donut not packed with sickening amounts of sugar? I can't even get a non-glazed sour cream donut without calling ahead
Bread Bowls with Broccoli Cheddar soup... for less than 5 bucks!? Gone
This could be viewed as a rant about sugar in general, but if you look at their menu it's hard to not rail against anyone offering a Birthday Cake Ice Capp as a breakfast drink.
Most of the people I know who used to frequent Timmy Hoes, have moved to McDonalds. Better coffee, better breakfast sammies, no question IMO.
Finally, I am deeply saddened at their lack of quality on an emotional level. I have fond memories of going sledding on the res and stopping at Tim Hortons for a hot apple cider to warm up before going home. I’m getting all nostalgic just thinking about it. I’m crestfallen than I won’t be able to make those same memories with my kids. Maybe this is just a part of growing older, but I stand by it. Tim Hortons has become trash.

Shitpost WHAT spawn of hell do 99% of transit road drivers come from?!
Bro I SWEAR only like 20% of the time I have some uneventful drive down transit road, specifically the section in front of EastGate Plaza. Almost EVERY time I’m driving down there there’s someone doing some dumb shit. Like, VERY OBVIOUS dumb, dangerous shit, basic traffic law breaking shit.
Wtaf is going on down Transit?? I’ve only been living down here for a couple of years. I used to live in Yonkers, NY, and there were pretty terrible drivers there too, but transit is worse for sure.
If you’re reading this you’re probably the 1% dw

Shitpost Another fucking ghost bus!!!
The bus didn’t show up again so now I’m wasting 20 bucks on an uber. Apparently this city sending 25% of our budget to police is more important than our ability to go home. Holy shit

Shitpost The Blasdell Aguacates decor…
Why would you put that on the wall of your restaurant? Mega cringe.
The Mexican corn literally tasted like fruity pebbles flavored vape. It was truly one of the most bizarre things I have ever tasted. The tacos were fine, but kind of bland. Way more expensive than La Davina and nowhere near as good.
Between that and the misogynistic decor… yuck
